The Science and Technology Museum in Beijing Olympic Village is China's most important museum for science and technology. It was first opened in 1988 to further the scientific understanding and curiosity (好奇心) of its visitors. Each one of its four floors is full of exhibits, activities and experiments to lead every visitor into a world of wonder. Some of the areas of interest are aerospace engineering, transportation, machines, and the environment.

The museum has six exhibition halls, four special effects theaters, many labs, classrooms and lecture halls.

Rules to follow:

*No food or drinks.

*No pets (except guide dogs).

*No smoking.

*Children under 12 should always stay with adults.

*Dangerous things like knives or scissors are not allowed.

TICKETS

Main Exhibition Halls:

Adult ticket: 30 yuan / person

Student ticket: 20 yuan / person

Special-Effect Theaters:

Adult ticket: 30 yuan/ person

Student ticket: 20 yuan/ person

(Children under 1.2m and adults over 70 years are not allowed in the Theater.)

Free for children under 1.3m or under 8 and the old over 60

TRANSPORTATION

Subway Lines:

Take Line 8 to Olympic Park Station, get out from Exit G and walk north for 13 minutes.

Take Line 8 to the South Gate of Forest Park Station, get out from Exit C and walk south for 10 minutes.

Take Line 15 to Datun East Road Station, get out from Exit A1 and walk north for about 15 minutes.

Active Summer Activity Courses (活动课程)

We're looking for university (大学) students to work with children on our club activity courses in July and August this summer. 

We need teachers for the following activities:

Swimming, football, tennis, music and art 

Courses are:

Course 1: July 1st-15th      Course 2: July 16th-31^st

Course 3: August 1st-15th    Course 4: August 16th-31^st
