    You will experience a lot of changes through your teenage years. The changes may seem difficult. They may seem to happen quickly. Don't panic!  You are a young adult now!

    With more duty, you will find more freedom to make your own choices. This is a time to be well informed about making choices. In this way you can make healthy balanced decisions. You may already know your career path or you may have no idea at all what you want to do. Both situations are fine! Work hard and the right chance will present itself to you.

     You will probably want to be independent. But try not to shut your family out of your life. You should learn to think of others even though you are old enough to look after yourself. It is also perfectly natural at this time for you to spend more time with your friends than your family. Choose your friends wisely.

    This period is a part of the life cycle. These are some people who will be with you throughout life's journey. There will be some people with whom you part and go separate ways. Leaving school can be hard. The reality is that you may not even see all of your classmates again.

    You are a young adult. It is your life. No one can live it for you. The choices that you make from now on will be your choices.  Life is for living. Enjoy your life wisely!

A. They will help shape the future.

B. You will deal with them successfully!

C. You may appreciate friendship in your own life.

D. So making the right choices will be important to you.

Ways to Respectfully Disagree

    It's easier to agree than disagree.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Unfortunately, many of us either shy away completely from disagreements or lose it when things don't go our way. These tips can help keep disagreements constructive.

    Use “I' to communicate how you feel, what you think and what you want or need.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} For example, telling your parents “You always remind me about my housework when you know I have much homework” has a very different tone from “I'm feeling pressured because I have a lot of homework tonight. Can I do those chores tomorrow?”

    Listen to the other's opinion.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}That makes it more likely that he or she will do the same for you. When the other person is talking, try to stop yourself from thinking about why you disagree or what you'll say next.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}This is the important thing you can do to keep a conversation on track. Of course, it's a huge challenge to stay calm when you feel angry about something, especially if their person you're talking to gets heated.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}If you've ever been on the receiving end of someone's put-downs (贬损的话), you know how valuable using respectful language and behavior can be. So instead of saying what you might be thinking (That's a stupid idea!), try saying “I don't agree, and here is why.”

    Respect goes beyond difficult conversations, of course. Being helpful and considerate towards family members, teachers or coaches in our everyday actions helps us establish a foundation for those times when we might disagree.

A. Stay calm.

B. Look into the other's eyes.

C. Using 'you' statements can sound aggressive.

D. Avoid putting down the other person's ideas and beliefs.

E. Then you can calmly present your case and why you disagree.

F. Being a good listener shows that you respect the other person.

G. But we can learn a lot from conversations where we don't agree.

Tips to Be an Expert at Managing Your Time

    Do you have too much to do and too little time? Of course! Actually, it's the biggest problem facing most people today. The key to becoming more efficient is the ability to set priorities (优先顺序) and focus on one task at a time. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Learn from the experts.

    If you want to be a big success in any area, find out what other successful people in that area are doing. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} And do the same things until you get the same results.

    Develop a plan.

    Successful men and women are both effective and efficient. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Develop a plan, then decide what is the most important thing to do and how to do it.

    When writing the story of your life, don't let someone else hold the pen. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Here are some ideas for writing a life story:

    Live happily in your own way. You are not in this world to live up to the expectations of others, nor should you feel that others are here to live up to yours. What success means to each of us is totally different. Success to others may mean being a good parent. Success is only about spending your life happily in your own way.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  There are thousands of possible paths up the mountain of life, so it really doesn't matter which path you start off on. The only mistake is by wasting time running around at the base of the mountain, telling everyone that your life path is wrong.

    Embrace (信奉) new ideas, lessons, and challenges. Sometimes growing up means growing apart from old habits, relationships, and situations, and finding something new that truly moves you. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} You should look very clearly into the unknown and enjoy it. Because when you come in contact with things that you don't know, that's when you're learning, growing, and truly living.

    Live honorably through kindness. If you live honorably, no matter how old you get, you'll never lose your beauty.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}Spend quality time with people you love.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} People don't live forever. Appreciate what you have, who loves you and who cares for you. You'll never know how much they mean until the day when they are no longer beside you. Someday you will either regret not doing so, or you will say, "I'm glad I did."

A. Lost time is never found again.

B. Appreciate the little things in life that mean a lot.

C. Change your path when you must, but keep moving forward.

D. There is nothing more wonderful than seeing life as an adventure.

E. For others, it may mean to simply be happy or it can be all of the above.

F. And remember, there is no better thing than reaching out and holding the hand of someone in need.

G. Make wise choices every day because the way you live each day is a sentence in the story of your life.

    If you want to plan a great party, you should focus on the three parts before the party, in the party and after the party, which are necessary for a successful party.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} If the guest has just suffered a sad experience or has no time to go to your party indeed, you shouldn't send invitation letters to bother him. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Then, in the case of holding the party, the first and foremost thing is to create a good atmosphere to have an enthusiasm (热忱) party. For example, you can plan some simple but interesting games in advance, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Dancing and singing are also acceptable for teenagers. But as for the old, it's necessary to prepare a quiet place for them.

     Last but not least, you could send the letters of thanks to the guests. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}And even next time they will enter your happy party whenever and wherever.

With the majority of children not going into school at the moment, staff, parents and pupils are pulling together to make sure their education is a success. As a teacher, I'd like to give some tips to parents and pupils on remote learning.

FOR PUPILS

Get online, on time.

Make sure you do log on in good time for the beginning or live lessons, rather than joining the lesson ten minutes in.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Play your part.

Contribute to the lesson. Talk, put your hand up, send messages in the chat whatever they might be. Teachers and other pupils love to see that. And don't be afraid to ask questions.

Take proper screen breaks during the day.

Enjoy your break time.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Get outside, read a book, phone someone. At break or lunchtime in school you wouldn't sit in a classroom and continue to work, so you shouldn't do it at home either.

FOR PARENTS

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

It's often surprising how technologically able a young child is now, with the world of smart phones and the Internet. So let them show you what they need to be doing in class.

Give praise.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Now online, we share a lot of praise and give out school awards. They also need to be praised at home for getting their work done. Take a look at what they have been doing.

Get involved if you can.

This might be difficult for parents doing full-time jobs, but try to work together on something. We assign students research projects some of which might be challenging to them.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} And it's also good for their own well-being getting away from a laptop to make a cardboard castle or whatever it might be.

A. Let the child take the lead.

B. Keep pace with technology.

C. Don't stay sitting at your computer.

D. That's a perfect opportunity for parents to help.

E. Thus you will find the rest of the class challenging.

F. Otherwise you would have missed out on some teaching

G. At school kids are getting approval for the work they are doing well.
