Hi, I'm a middle school student. I'm Judy. In my class there are thirty-eight students. How do they go to school every day? Seventeen of them take the bus because they live far from the school. Six students walk. They think walking is good exercise. Fifteen students ride their bikes to school because they like riding bikes very much and their homes are not far from the school. No one goes to school by car. How do you go to school? Haha, I'm one of the fifteen.

There is a zoo in our city. My parents often take me there on {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. I like animals. I have a lot of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} animals in my room. In the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} I can see tigers, elephants, monkeys, pandas, bears, snakes and many other {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Some animals are friendly but some are not. Tigers, bears, lions are {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. That is why they have to stay in {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. But I do not think it is good for animals to stay in cages. They should be free. The animals in cages can't be {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

I think the most interesting animals in the zoo are the dolphins. I like {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them swim and jump. They swim so fast and jump so high. They can play with a ball. They can stand up and walk {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the water! They are very {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to people. If you fall into the water and can't swim, they may come to help you.

While we were growing up, our parents often said things like, "Look at that boy, he swims so well! He is such a talent(人才)．" Such words made us believe that if we were not born a talent, we would never do things well. So we were afraid to try new things, and were afraid of making mistakes or failing. But in fact, failures(失败) and mistakes are as important as success.

Sarah is lucky. She has a great father. As a child, her father asked her the same question every weekend. "What did you fail at this week, Sarah？" He did not care too much about her grades. He cared more about what she had tried but failed at. When she told him about her failures and mistakes, he would give her a high five(举手击掌)．

Do you realize what her father was doing? He was trying to make her believe that failures and mistakes are just fine. And they were a huge part of our growth and success. Most importantly, her father was telling her that she would still be loved and trusted even if she failed. Encouraged by the weekend communications, Sarah has grown into a successful businesswoman.In her journey, she has tried many new jobs and had many difficulties，but she never lost heart. Because she knew her failures and mistakes would be embraced(接受) on the weekend.

No matter how good onions are for you, it is difficult to cut an onion without your eyes filling with tears! When you cut into an onion, irritating(刺激性的) chemicals inside the onion will get into the air. They touch your whole eyes and cause pain. Your eyes make tears to wash away the chemicals and protect your eyes. 

Luckily, cooks and scientists have discovered some ways to keep you from crying when you cut up onions：

Cut the onion under running water. The water will wash away the chemicals before they can reach your eyes. 

Use a fan to blow air over the onion as you cut it. The air will blow the chemicals away from your eyes. 

Put the onion in a fridge for an hour before cutting. This helps make the chemicals in the onion move slowly, so they may not ever reach your eyes. 

If you try out these good ideas and still cry while cutting onions, don't worry. Scientists think if you cut more onions, your body will become more resilient to the onion's chemicals. So the tears will not last long. If you think about how healthy onions are, you might even call those tears "happy tears"．
