    Since the outbreak of the epidemic (疫情), frontline medical workers are among those who have sacrificed (牺牲) the most to fight the virus. A total of 1,716 medical workers were confirmed to have been infected with the novel coronavirus as of Feb 11, while six had died, according to the National Health Commission.

    On Feb 22, the government released a document listing measures (措施) to protect and care for medical workers.

    "Medical workers are the backbone force (中坚力量) in fighting against the epidemic, and we need to make sure that they get full support," President Xi Jinping said.

    According to the document, frontline medical workers will have better incomes. For example, their salaries will be tripled (三倍的) and their subsidies (补贴) will be doubled. Improved services for frontline medical workers, such as providing them with clean and healthy meals, comfortable living environments and better commuter (通勤) services are also included in the document.

    In addition, medical workers will have mandatory (强制的) rest periods after long days of work and have their paid vacations increased after the epidemic ends.

    The document also pays attention to medical workers' mental health. Besides treating patients, medical workers also need to deal with mental stress caused by long hours, the spread of the epidemic and public criticism (批评), according to the Wuhan Mental Health Center. The government has set up 11 24—hour hotlines and seven platforms (平台) for medical workers experiencing mental stress, People's Daily reported.

    Family members of medical workers will also receive greater support, the document said. For example, elderly people will have better medical care. Many places, including Hubei, Shandong and Nanjing, plan to give extra (额外的) points on the high school entrance exam to students whose parents are frontline medical workers.

(1)、Have any medical workers died because of the epidemic?
(2)、Why did the government release a document on Feb 22?
(3)、What will medical worker have after long days of work according to  the document?
(4)、What caused the mental stress of the medical workers?
(5)、Can family members of medical worker get great support? Give an example.

The nose is important for everyone. It can help a person breathe and smell. In fact,it can also be used in many popular expressions.
Some people can lead other people by the nose. For example, if a wife leads her husband by the nose, she can ask him to do whatever she wants him to do.
Some people are said to be hard--nosed. They will not change their opinions of anything.
If some people keep their noses out of other people's business, they do not interfere
( ) in anything that has nothing to do with them. The opposite kind of people are those who nose around all the time. They are interested in other people's personal life.
If someone works hard, he can keep his nose clean or stay out of trouble. How ever, more problems will be caused if a person looks down his nose at others or some things. He thinks they are unimportant. This kind of person might also turn up his nose at anything that he doesn't consider good enough. He thinks he is better than anyone else.
At school, some students thumb their noses at their teacher. They refuse to follow what their teacher says or do any work. Of course, it is not right for students to do like this.

    And why do we have them? Scientists are learning to find the reasons, but they still know very little about why we dream.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Modern research can tell us some important facts about dreams. For example, we have most of our dreams during REM sleep. At this time,the brain is very active. Another fact is that everyone dreams-even if we cannot remember doing so when we're awaken. What's more, an unusual part of our brain has been found. This part sometimes puts our thoughts and memories together in strange ways when we're asleep.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Some scientists believe that our dreams are associated with life experiences and things in the dreams have their own meanings. For example, telephones in dreams are thought to be about giving or receiving an important message. A car in dreams often mean feelings about your own life. Broken teeth show fear.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Scientists think that people in our dreams can tell us something about ourselves. If the person in the dream was shouting out, for example, maybe you are angry. If he or she was scared in the dream, then maybe you're afraid of something in life.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    There is still a lot that we do not understand, but scientists are trying hard because the more we learn about our dreams, the more we learn about ourselves.

A.What're the meanings of the things in dreams?

B.What can persons in dreams tell us?

C.Why should we learn more about dreams?

D.What facts do we know about dreams?

E.What are dreams?

阅读下面的短文,并根据短文后的要求答题。(请注明问题后的字数要求)

    [1] I'm a 34-year-old man, married, lived in a nice house, and have a successful career. But my life was not always so great. I had a learning disability from an early age. I went to a special school where I got plenty of extra (额外的) help. Still, I suffered the rest of my school days in public schools.

    [2] My life improved greatly when I discovered art. The art world gave me a chance to express myself without words. I went to a workshop and gradually became good at making things with clay. Here I learned my first important lesson: disabled as I was in language, I could still be smart and well express myself with clay. And my confidence(自信)came along.

    [3] I got my next lesson from rock climbing. It was a fun thing but I was scared from the start. ⑶I soon noticed it wasn't a talent thing; it needed lots of practice. So I did it more. After about five years of climbing, I found myself in Yosemite Valley on a big wall. I learned that if you fall in love with something and do it all the time, you will get better at it.

    [4] Later I decided to learn ⑷①          to read and write. I practiced reading and ⑷②          , which I used to avoid as much as possible. After two years, I was literate(有文化的).

    [5] Through the long process with art, ⑷③             , and reading and writing, now I've got to a point in my life: I am smart enough to dive into (潜入) an area that is totally unknown, hard, but interesting.

下面文章中有五处(第31-35题)需要添加小标题。请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E和F)中选出符合各段意思的小标题。选项中有一项是多余项。

A. It's just fun.      B. Travel is education.

C. Kids are not afraid.     D. Never let them travel alone.

E. They'll like it more and more.   F. They become communicative

    Many parents fear to travel with kids. If you have the same fear, it's time to remove it. Here are some reasons why it's important to travel with kids.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    When I say that, I'm talking not only about the history lessons. I'm also talking about the math lying behind the questions to be answered, such as "How long will it take us to get there? What is the currency (货币) exchange rate to the US dollar? Children can also learn some geography facts."

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    For kids, being able to talk about their travel experiences with others is pretty impressive! These types of travel experiences stick with children for a lifetime, and they will always have information to share about their travels.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    The moment my son became old enough to travel alone, I was so nervous. But it didn't take him long to become a very independent little traveler. When children realize what it takes to travel independently, it creates a certain level of confidence which is very important for them.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Once your kids realize that there's so much of this exciting world that they haven't seen, they will be hungry to explore more and more!

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Who doesn't need a break from school? I know my kids do because we are strict during the school week: No TV, no computers, only homework and after-school activities. So, naturally, they want a break from the busy life. And, more than likely, there is plenty of fun waiting for you. Don't forget that you don't have to travel far for kids to have a good time!
