Many people take running as a way to keep fit. They like to run in hot weather and enjoy the feeling of being wet through with sweat (汗) while running. Cold weather during winter months, with low temperatures and freezing cold winds, may keep people from running in the open air.

However, a new study shows that the drop in temperature is a good reason to run. In fact, running in cold weather helps improve one's performance. Many runners might find it easier to run in winter than in hot weather. The body needs less water on a cold day than in warm weather. In addition, lower temperatures reduce stress on the body. When you run in cold weather, your heart rate is lower.

John Brewer is a professor of applied sports science at St. Mary's University in London. For this study, he and other researchers put a group of people into a room where summer and winter weather conditions are recreated. The test subjects were asked to run 10,000 meters under both conditions and their biological measurements were recorded and studied.From the study, every movement runners make produces heat. The heat can be really damaging unless the body can lose it. One way in which people lose heat is by sweating. The body loses heat through sweat. The body also loses it by transporting the blood to the surface of the skin and it puts more stress on the heart, especially in hot conditions because it's much harder to lose heat when the outside environment is warm. As the result shows, running in hot temperatures results in 6 percent higher heat rates.

When running in cold conditions, the body does not have to work hard to move blood to the skin surface. Therefore, it requires less energy. The most important thing for people who run in cold conditions is to wear the right clothing. Keep as dry as possible when exercising in low temperatures. Wear warm and light clothing to keep sweat away from your skin. So don't let winter weather keep you indoors. Simply get ready for the low temperatures and start running.

You don't have to regard yourself as a very creative person to come up with excellent ideas and solutions at once. Brainstorming can help unlock ideas. Even if you don't find the perfect solution,just practicing it can help to improve your creativity. Put these tips together and you are sure to   come up with some great ideas.

News anchors(主持人) must have been reluctant and felt it was like science fiction to read out the following news: Xin Xiaomeng began working as the world's first female artificial intelligence news anchor at Xinhua News Agency on Sunday, three months after a male robot joined the profession. 

Unlike previous news robots though, Xin does not read news like a cold machine; she reads it more like a human being. The muscles on her face stretch and relax—and her reactions change—as she continues reading. That's why many news anchors are worried: Will AI replace us in the near future?

To find the answer, we have to analyse the technologies that support Xin at her job. Three key technologies are used to support Xin. First, samples of human voices are collected and synthesized (合成). This is followed by the collection and synthesis of human muscle movement samples. Third, the voices and movements are married(相结合) in a way that when the AI news anchor reads, the micro electric motors behind her face move to make her expressions seem more human.

Yet we need a thorough knowledge of deep learning technology to make a robot imitate a person's voice. The developer needs to collect tens of thousands of pieces of pronunciations, input them into the machine and match them with the text for the AI to learn and read. The process of imitating facial movements is similar. The developer has to analyse the movements of the 43 muscles in the human face, make a model set from the collected data for the AI news anchor to learn, and imitate the movements of facial muscles via programs.

Both the technologies used to make Xin's performance impressive are mature, whereas the real difficulty lies in the third—the technology to match the pronunciations with facial movements so that Xin's expressions vary according to the content of the news report. In fact, Xin's expressions don't always change according to the content. As a result, her expressions look anything but human. Actually, AI is still no match for human qualities. 

Have you ever imagined how people eat in space? It's not easy. In a word, it is different from that on Earth. The food that astronauts carry with them doesn't look like the food you eat.

Some food is carried in closed bags. It is cooked and frozen before the astronauts get it. All the water is removed （去掉）from the food. In the space capsule （太空舱）, the astronaut puts the water back. He "shoots" hot or cold water into the food bag with a special gun （枪）. He eats the food through a small hole in the bag.

Other foods come in bite-size （一口大小的）. The astronaut puts a whole piece in his mouth each time. There can't be crumbs（食物碎屑）. Crumbs would float around the capsule and get in the way. Meat, cakes and cereal（麦片）often come in bite-size pieces.

Astronauts can't drink water from open cups. The water would float in drops in the air. The water is put in the special gun. The astronaut shoots the water into his month.
