Sea turtles(海龟) live in the sea most of the time. The beaches in Florida are home to sea turtles. Female sea turtles come here from the ocean to lay eggs. Then they return to the ocean. However, the number of some of these turtle species(种类) is falling. They are in danger, so people in Florida work together as a community to protect them.

Some volunteers take direct action to help the turtles. They look closely at the sand to find out where the sea turtles lay their eyes. Then they help bury(埋藏) the eggs in order to save them from being destroyed. They are helpful in people who are studying sea turtles.

Florida's government has passed laws to save the turtles. One of these laws is "Florida's Marine Turtle Protection Act". This law prevents anyone from destroying sea turtles' nests or eggs. It helps protect the turtles from dying out.

People also work together to save the turtles through organizations(组织) like the Sea Turtle Conservancy. For example, the bright light from buildings near the beach can influence sea turtles. It may make the baby turtles get lost, leading to many of them do not make it to the ocean and even die. The Sea Turtle Conservancy works with house owners to make the lighting in their buildings sea turtle friendly. They also advise people to turn off their lights at night if they live close to the beach.

In a word, everyone can do his or her part to protect sea turtles and their living places. People in Florida can work as volunteers to clean up the beaches and pick up their own litter. Everyone in the community has the ability to make a difference!

I run a lot of writing workshops in secondary schools and what I often see is this: teenagers in class just look at the blank page and freeze. Even when I tell them they can't get it wrong in creative writing, they still stop and feel painful, looking to me for clear and definite instructions. This behavior results from their training to mimic(模仿). {#blank#}1{#/blank#} In time, they are afraid of getting things wrong and risking failure. Creativity is no longer supported and is even viewed as a soft skill, or even a weakness.

However, creativity is highly valued by employers. According to The Conversation, creativity has been the number-one skill needed by 20 million job ads on Linked for two years in a row. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Because of limited educational resources and assessment(评价) pressures, teenagers' thinking becomes increasingly narrow, leaving them afraid to explore other possibilities.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} It's just an ability to make new connections and follow where they go. Actually, creativity requires qualities available to us all: courage, observation, curiosity, flexibility and perseverance.

So how do we help teenagers be hopeful and brave? Firstly, we need to avoid the idea that their whole futures depend on this very task or that decision. Life is long enough to try many things, and to change directions. There is no right way to live a life. Secondly, let's encourage raising questions. Children are naturally curious, but this curiosity often fades as they grow older, although it still exists within them. Just because they lack answers doesn't mean they shouldn't ask questions; rather, they should ask even more. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

Young people need reminding that their stories haven't been written. They need opportunities to try new things. They need permission to keep asking "what else is possible?" because anything is.

The latest way of exploring urban（城市的）China is now the City Walk. While some people travel home and abroad, others like a more relaxing time without going out of town. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

In the traditional way of traveling, young people often visit well-known places. However, the goal of City Walk is to enjoy local culture and lifestyle, instead of going to "must-see" spots（景点）. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Therefore, their explorations often include not only parks, but even local food markets.

Jack Zhang, a social media expert in Shanghai, decided to stay in the city after a disappointing Labor Day travel experience. This time, he walked around Yuyuan Road, watched the elderly playing cards, and relaxed in a coffee shop. "The City Walk allows one to experience the slow life. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. And you can think about your personal life like you hardly do when you are busy," he said.

This way of traveling became popular in July after getting attention on social media. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Tourist groups in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu provided official City Walk maps and guides with tips. According to Wang Yi, a college professor, " {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. It may help improve the real economy（实体经济）in the future."

If you've ever used pi in math class, you probably used the number 3.14. In fact, the number for pi is much longer. Pi is called an irrational number (无理数) because the digits (数位) after the decimal point (小数点) never end or repeat.

>In 2015, a young man from India named Rajveer Meena set a world record by memorizing 70,000 digits of pi. But pi is much longer than that. 

On Pi Day ( March 14th) this year, a company called Solidigm said it calculated (计算) pi to105 trillion (万亿) digits. And the 105 trillionth digit is 6. It broke the record for how many digits of pi we know. 

Pi is really useful for circles in math. It helps us connect the circumference with the diameter of a circle. 

Even NASA scientists use pi for their work of studying space. But they only need about 15 digits of pi for their calculations. 

Calculating pi also has another important use. It's how scientists test new computer programs and data storage systems (数据存储系统). 

Solidigm's calculation of pi took around 75 days to finish. The company's owner Brian 

Beeler said that the achievement needed a lot of work. They had to plan the calculation very carefully. 

This isn't the first time that Solidigm has calculated pi. In 2022, Google Cloud calculated 100 trillion digits of pi. Solidigm matched that in 2023. 

In the future, we'll keep finding more and more digits of pi. We'll never be able to calculate all the digits of pi because it goes on forever. But it still helps us see how great computers can be.

Guangming Middle School is very big and beautiful. Walk through our school gate and you can see a big playground. Students have great fun playing football in it.

In front of you is our teaching building. There are ten classrooms on the first floor, eight classrooms on the second floor and two classrooms on the third floor. They are all big and bright. Beside the classrooms is the library. You can borrow books there. The art building is behind the library. We have four art rooms on the first floor, and four music rooms on the second floor. You can draw pictures and play music there. Next to it is our school hall. It is very big and we have a school meeting every week.
