    This winter holiday my classmates and I go to the Sunshine Welfare House for voluntary work. After we went there, we talked about how we could do for the kids over the phone. The next day, we arrived at there with gifts we had prepared, and we received a warmly welcome. Then we began to play with them. I drew picture with the older kids, and my classmates told stories to the young ones. We spent the whole afternoon with them, talked and laughing. It was getting late.     Last week, we watched an excited basketball match in our school. It is between Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. During a match, the players from all teams played very hard. Grade 2 was a stronger team. However, for our surprise, Grade 1 won at last. The player jumped and hugged to celebrate their success. Just then, the players from the other team that approached and said “Congratulations!” to them. They wore smiles on faces and you couldn't tell from their expressions that they had lost the match. We were touching by the scene and felt what important a role sport plays in daily life.

    Today I took part in the Beijing Foreign Language Festival with my friend Li Ming. We arrive there by bike in the morning. First we attended to a lecture introduced good methods of learning English. The audience all listened but took notes carefully. Then we went to the English Corner, there lots of people were talking with foreigners in small group. Li Ming and I joined them with greatly interest. That was amazing to find myself talking with the native speaker and we got on quite well. Time passed quickly. Before leaving, we bought some books and dictionaries. The festival gave you a good chance to practice my English.
