It's also called "Garden City" because gardens and trees are everywhere. Singapore Island and about 60 small islands make up the country. Almost 5,630,000 people live there. That makes Singapore one of the most crowded countries in the world. Most people speak English, but Chinese, Tamil (an Indian language) and Malay are also official languages. What's more, it is very hot and often rains in Singapore.
