As a country with a history of over 5,000 years, China is the home of tea. Last summer, I took a trip to Huangshan Mountain in Anhui, China with my parents. I will never 1 the Chinese tea culture there.

On a sunny afternoon, we arrived at the foot of the mountain, tired 2 excited. After a short rest, the 3 took us to a big farm and we learned about tea processing there. He told us that Sheng Nong found out 4 as a drink in old times. In the evening, we paid a visit to a tea house. We watched a tea art show and 5 the local（当地的）green tea. We saw a young woman in a beautiful Chinese dress showed us 6 a cup of tea is made with tea sets. We really enjoyed it and 7 ourselves when we were listening to the traditional folk music. We are sure that the 8 are the ones who best understand the nature of tea.

Time went fast there. I learned a lot about tea culture 9 . Through this journey, I knew something new about the country. I am 10 to the next trip to China!

My dad bought me a new Jeep when I was 17, but the real gift was what he  taught me about life through this car. Every month, on the first day, he asked me  to pay him $150 if I wanted to continue driving my Jeep. If I didn't pay, I  couldn't drive my car〔or "his car", as he often reminded me, since he owned the title (所有权). My dad was (and still is) a successful businessman, who makes a very good living. To a 17-year-old student who only had a part-time weekend job, $150 was more  than  I  usually  made  every  month.  I  had  to  work  harder.  Although I was unhappy about my father's request, I always made sure to give him $150 on the first of each month, and did so for two years.

The day I graduated from high school, my dad pulled me into his office at our house for a talk. "Kevin," he gave me a white box and said, "here is your graduation present. To be honest, this is actually a present you gave yourself." I opened the box carefully, and almost started crying when I realized he just gave me $3,600! It was 24 car payments that he had saved for the last two years. Every payment I gave him went straight into this box. By requiring me to pay him every month, he was teaching me how to save, how to use my money and how to be responsible (有责任心的). My dad is and will forever be the best man I have ever known.

Four years later he gave me the title to the Jeep, as my college graduation present.

Do you know the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (物品） in my hand? Yeah, you got it. It's one of my favorites—a {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.(瓶子）It's full of paper stars and I cannot{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(数数）them at once. When I feel sad, I will start a{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(对话）with them. 

I have {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(另一）place in secret. That's my{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(院子）. There are so many vegetables in it——potatoes， tomatoes and{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(胡萝卜）. It's just like my friend. I say hello and{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(问候）warmly every day to it. In fact， we also help{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(每个）other. 

Life is a{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(圈）. You bring happiness to it. It also brings back something fun.

Uncle Alm looks not so happy because he doesn't want Heidi to live with him. He says in a 1 voice, "Take your things and come with me." Then he opens the door and Heidi 2 him into the house. "Where am I going to sleep, Grandpa?" Heidi asks. "Wherever you want."

Heidi 3 and sees a ladder (梯子) next to the grandpa's bed. She climbs up and 4 a hayloft (干草棚). There is much ha y in it. 5 a small window, she can look down very far. "I want to 6 here. It's lovely. Please come up, Grandpa," she calls down. Uncle Alm feels a little different 7 no kid calls him "Grandpa" like Heidi. 

Next morning when Heidi is in "bed", she 8 hears someone talking with Uncle Alm. Then she meets Peter and his sheep. 

"Do you want to go to the pasture (牧场) with 9 ?" asks Grandpa. 

"Yes, of course, " Heidi says 10 , clapping (拍) her hands. 

The grandpa says, "The sun will laugh at you if he sees how 11 you are. Go and wash yourself first. And 12 is ready for you."

Heidi washes her face and hands, and then finishes her breakfast. "I'm leaving, Grandpa. "

"Please wait." Uncle Alm puts some pieces of 13 and some cheese into Heidi's bag. Then he says to Peter, "This is for your lunch, kid. Please 14 Heidi well."

Heidi and Peter walk up to the pasture. "Such a nice day!15 sky (天空), fresh air and green grass!" Heidi shouts happily. She even forgets Peter and runs far. 

During the summer holiday, I ate too much fast food, so I was fat. I decided to make a change, so I became a 1 of a sports club. 

On the first day, I arrived at the club early and 2 with the coach, like running. My mum was surprised because I had never been 3 before and I didn't like sports. However, after three days, I didn't want to go there any more. 4 I was too tired to train. 

My mum was sad about it, but she told me a story. Twenty years ago, my mum was so 5 that she got ill easily. Then my grandfather took her to exercise. At first, she didn't want to do that after 6 a few days. But my grandfather always encouraged (鼓励) her and 7 different activities with her. Later, my mum enjoyed sports. Her body condition has been 8 now. After hearing this, I decided to go to the 9 again. My grandfather and my mother taught me the meaning of persistence(坚持). 

My mum was very happy with my change. 10 I knew that I needed to keep on to reach the goal(目标), just like"Where there is a will(意志), there is a way. "
