People sometimes like to read stories of dogs very much. They think that dogs are much cleverer than cats, sheep, cows or other animals in their homes.

    One of my close friends, Bob, has a very large police dog named Jack. Every Sunday afternoon, Bob and Jack have a walk in the park nearby. Jack likes these walks very much. One Sunday afternoon, I paid a visit to my friend. I stayed there for a long time and my friend and I had much more talk with each other than ever before. Soon it was time for them to take a walk in the park. We forgot that. Jack became worried about it. He walked around the room several times and then sat down in front of me and looked at me. But I still paid no attention (注意) to him. I went on talking with my friend. At last, Jack could not wait any longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes later. He sat down in front of me again. But this time, he held my hat in his mouth. Suddenly, I understood what Jack meant and so did my friend.

During the old times, children didn't have smart phones, iPads or computers to play. They: thought of interesting games to play in their childhood.

●Stone（石头）balls

During the Qing Dynasty, kicking（踢）a stone ball around was a popular sport in the northern part of China, and it was often played in the winter to keep warm. Children made stones into small balls and kicked along with feet.

●Flying kites

Kites have quite a long history. The earliest kites were made of wood （木）, not paper. These days, the three most famous kites are the Beijing kite, Tianjin kite and Weifang kite, which each is very special. The swallow-shaped kite is the most popular Beijing style.

●Hide-and-seek

Hide-and-seek is a traditional game for children, popular around the country. There are two ways to play: Cover a child's eyes and ask him to catch the other kids while the other kids run around him. Or, more commonly, the children hide（躲）and one child must try to find them.

●Watching shadow plays（皮影戏）

The closest thing to watching a film or television for fun during the old times was going to see a shadow play. The artists manipulate puppets（操纵木偶）behind the screen, telling stories with music. During the Qing Dynasty, shadow play art was the most popular, and was played for every important time.

My name is Tony. I'm a1 student from a middle school in Zhuhai. In the past，I had some bad habits. I2 had breakfast，because I always got up late. I only exercised once or twice3 month，because I thought it was very tiring. In the evening，I always4 TV for more than two hours. Then I often surfed the Internet. I liked to spend lots of hours5 computer games，so I often stayed up late. My parents thought staying up late was bad for my health，so they were worried about6 .

 When the students arrived, they were {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to hear that they needed to jump over a river which was a few meters wide. The teacher said, "Everything that you have done until now should have prepared you for this moment. This is a jump {#blank#}6{#/blank#} will lead you to greatness." The first student walked away immediately, as he knew that he hadn't prepared well {#blank#}7{#/blank#} for the jump. The second student knew now by choosing to deal {#blank#}8{#/blank#} challenges instead of avoiding them, he was ready for the jump. He {#blank#}9{#/blank#} towards the river and jumped as far {#blank#}10{#/blank#} he could. And he made it!
