Not all parents look forward to the day when their children go off to school. Instead, they choose to teach their children at home. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Instead of going off to schools, children study at home with the help of private(私人的) teachers.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} To solve this problem, some families have set up cooperatives (合作社组织). There, homeschooled children will learn and play together. And they also take part in activities that would happen in school.

Being homeschooled doesn't mean a child cannot go to college. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}It's also necessary for homeschooled children to show what they have learned.

Every year, thousands of people die or get hurt on the road in China. Of course, there are traffic rules to make the road safe, but some people don't always obey the rules. So please remember to keep to the rules on the r{#blank#}1{#/blank#}. If everybody obeys the rules, the roads will be much safer. 

◆If you ride a bike, don't ride in the m{#blank#}2{#/blank#} of the road. And when you ride a bike with f{#blank#}3{#/blank#}, don't look around to talk to them. 

◆If you drive, you should slow down at every traffic light. And you must always wear a seat belt. 

◆If you want to walk a{#blank#}4{#/blank#} the road, stop and look both ways. Look to the left first, then the right and the left again. Don't run across the road at any time. And you must not play on the road. 

It's very necessary (必要的) for e{#blank#}5{#/blank#} to obey traffic rules. 

Do you have any online classes? It is possible to take classes at home. All you need is a computer and a headset. 

However, most students don't seem to like online classes. According to a recent survey, only 33 percent of the students would take such classes. Over 1, 500 students from 10 cities took part in the survey. 

Many students said it was hard to focus on studying while taking online classes. This was true for Kate, 15, at the High School of Peking University. "There are no classmates and no real teachers watching me. I can surf the Internet or do other things if I want to. It's harder to always stay focused," she said. 

Kate prepares a lot before taking her classes to make sure she will keep her attention. She also pushes herself to communicate with teachers. Students can come up with or answer questions while taking online classes. 

Joice, 14, at Yucai Middle School, thinks online interaction (互动) isn't enough. "The online teachers don't really get to know me. When I don't hand in homework, all I get is a short message instead of real concern (关心) ," she said. 

However, online classes still have advantages. "It saves time and money compared with taking offline classes. Also, if I don't understand some parts of a lesson, I can watch it over again," Kate said. 

Most children like to watch cartoons on TV because of the funny characters and the bright colors. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

Some people think it leaves nothing for children to imagine when they watch cartoons on TV. They can see the different characters, so they need not imagine the appearance of a character or any situation in the cartoon. But when reading a book, the child has to imagine what the different characters look like. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So the imaginative power of the child improves. 

Almost every child is able to read books. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Watching cartoons will improve their language ability. As most of the cartoons are in English, watching them will improve their English. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} In this way, their vocabulary will get improved. They will learn how to pronounce different words. Their spoken English will also get greatly improved. These are the advantages (好 处) of watching cartoons. 

But there should be a limit (限制) to everything. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} However, they cannot keep children from watching TV completely. It will only do more harm than good.

My Ways of Learning English

I am glad to be a volunteer of ASEAN Expo, and now I'd like to share something about learning English.

In the past, about 14% of the earth was covered {#blank#}1{#/blank#} rain forests, but today the number {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(be) about 6%. Why? Because people are {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(cut) down large areas of trees. If we {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(not protect) the rain forests now, we will never see them again. 

Rain forests are in the tropical regions (热带 ) of the Earth. The trees are {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(usual) very tall. Plenty of rainfall helps them grow and live. These rain forests are important{#blank#}6{#/blank#} half of the world's animal species (物种), such as monkeys, elephants and tigers, live in rain forests. 

The trees give a home and food to many {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(live) things. After the trees are cut down, many of these animals have nowhere to live. Each day, we are losing {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(hundred) of species of animals and plants because their homes are disappearing. Rain forests are {#blank#}9{#/blank#} important part of the Earth, so every one of us should try to protect{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(they).
