    Volleyball started in America. In 1895, William G. Morgan blended (融合) basketball, tennis and handball(手球) to make a game for his students. He was a teacher at the Young Men's Christian Association(基督教青年会) in Holyoke, Mass. At first, he just wanted to let the older students in his class exercise. And it was not called volleyball at that time. Now, volleyball is the second most popular sport in America.

    Chinese are also good at playing volleyball. The Chinese Women National Volleyball Team is one of the best teams in the world. They got the first place in the Olympic Games three times(1984, 2004 and 2016). In 2019, they won the Wold Cup for the fifth time.

A myth(荒诞的说法) is something that is not right, but many people believe. There are a lot of myths about the human brain (大脑).

One of the biggest myths is that we only use 10 percent of our brains. The next part of the myth is that if we can learn to use the rest of our brains, then we' ll be much smarter. People say this all the time, but it's absolutely not true! The truth is that although we don't know everything about the human brain, we know that each part of plays an important function. Modern scientists think the"10 percent myth" silly(愚蠢的).

The other most popular myth is about being" right brained" or" left brained". According to this myth, people who use the right side of their brains are more artistic and creative. People who use the left side of their brains are better at math and science. This is as popular as the 10 percent myth, and it's also wrong. In 2013, a study at an American university examined the right brain and left brain myth. According to the study, we use both sides of our brains equally(相等地).

It's true that we use different parts of our brains for different things. We use our left side for language more, and our right side when we need to pay attention. But there is no fact that creative people use the right side more, or that scientific people use the left side more.

We' ve talked about myth, so let's look at a few interesting facts about the brain. First of all, the brain feels no pain. Second, about 75 percent of the brain is made of water. It's also the fattest organ in your body. Here's another interesting fact about the brain. Around the time you turn 18 years old, it stops growing.

Stamp collecting is becoming a big hobby for young people to remember their trips. Lovers of this hobby enjoy collecting stamps about the places they visit. They usually buy stamps in the local post office. 

 Jenny, a 25- year- old teacher, enjoys collecting stamps. For her, this is a great way to record (记示) her trips. Once during a two- day trip to Beijing, she collected over 90 stamps! They're all about beautiful artworks.

"These days, more and more tourists share their stamps online. Stamp collecting is a good way to help people know more about the local culture. It's really educational, " said Gina, a teacher from a school of Tourism Management in Dongguan. 

 Imagine you are living in a moving house. Inside the house, there is a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. Although they are much smaller than those at your home, they are easy for you to use. 

Nowadays you can see these moving houses on the road in China. They are called recreational vehicles(RVs). People call them"houses on roads". When it's holiday time, the whole family will get into the small home and hit the road for a trip across the country. 

 Compared to a real house, this"home" on the road is useful for a family. The best thing is that you can do everything you like freely. You can drive as long as you like without worrying about finding hotels and restaurants. Or you can just stop somewhere nice and stay for a few weeks. You may also meet other families that are on road trips. Together, you put up your tents. It's camping time with lots of talk and laughter. 

 However, RVs are not always convenient(方便的). They can sometimes break down and don't work. You have to spend time fixing them. But many people still like this kind of vehicle because they can go anywhere they want whenever they want. 

Zhi Nong was a photographer who was born in a small town in Yunnan Province. When he was young, he moved to Kunming with his mother. Feeling like a caged (笼中的) bird in the big city, he was bored with the busy and noisy city life and wanted to close to the nature.

His chance soon came. In 1983, be helped make a movie about birds. What he did before led him to take photos of flying birds.

In the 1980s, the Internet was not that popular in China and cameras were expensive. He borrowed a camera and began to study how to use it. During that time, the library have favourite place where he first read some and began to study how to use it. During that time, the library became his favourite place where be first read some magazines about nature. It opened a door to nature for him.

In 1992, a research programme was set up to protect a kind of unusual monkeys which only live in China. Usually, the home of these monkeys has half-a-year-long winters. It brought a lot of difficulties to Zhi Nong's work, but he never stopped. "I didn't see the monkeys in the wild until I went into the mountains the third time." said Zhi Nong. He went into the snow mountains six times just to get great photographs of the monkeys.

Three years later, his works won international prizes. People around the world began to notice the protection of wild animals in China. And he is the first Chinese winner of the World Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

In order to call up (号召) more people to protect wildlife with cameras, he started "China Wildlife Photography Training Camp". He hopes that more young people will join in for the nature protection.
