Koalas are tree-hugging animals with big, round ears and black noses. They are a symbol of Australia, and it's their only home {#blank#}1{#/blank#}the world. A lot of people love {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(they) for their small size and cartoon-like looking.

A koala mother gives birth to and feed only one baby koala at a time. During a koala mother's life, she will produce six babies. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}baby koala can't see or climb. It is less than 3c m long when it was born.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}a cute animal it is! It lives in the mother's pocket for about six {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(month). Then in the following year, its mother looks after it {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(careful).

Koalas spend most of their time {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(sleep) and eating. Eucalyptus(桉树) leaves are the only food koalas eat. The leaves are not good to most animals {#blank#}8{#/blank#}koalas feel good to eat the leaves. Every day, each koala usually {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (eat) 3 hours during the night time, and rests for 16to 18 hours a day.

Koalas face many problems. Losing the natural home is one of {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(big) problems of the lovely animals. Fire and the act of cutting down trees make their living environment even worse. I really hope to save koalas. Animals are our friends, so we should do something.

English is very important to us. Here are two tips of learning English.

Read an English book, newspaper or magazine.

Reading is a necessary part of learning a new language, so don't forget to read! Find something you are really interested in whether that's a famous English novel, a copy of The New York Times, or a fashion magazine, and then start working your way through it. If you find the content(内容) boring, you will be less inclined(倾向于······的）to continue with it.

Again, make an active effort to actually understand what you're reading;don't just skim over it. Mark any words or phrases that you don't understand, and then look them up in the dictionary.

If you're alone, you could also try reading aloud. You will get the benefits of reading aloud.For example, this will allow you to improve your reading comprehension(理解力)as well as your pronunciation.

Keep a diary in English.

Besides reading and listening comprehension,you should also spend some time improving your written English skills. This may be one of the most difficult aspects of your language learning, but it is really important. Writing in English will help you to work on your sentence structure,grammar and spelling.

Try to keep an English diary in which you write down a few sentences every day. It doesn't have to be deeply personal. You could write about the weather,what you ate for dinner or what your plans are for the day.If you feel comfortable with it, get a native speaker to look over what you've written and check it for any mistakes. This will help you to avoid making the same mistakes over and over again.

Podro is from Europe. He lives with his parents in an old house by the sea. The house is not big but he likes it very much. There are three bedrooms upstairs(楼上) one for his parents, one for his sister and one for him. The bathroom and the living room are downstairs. In the living room there is a lovely fireplace. 

In the evening, all the family sill in the living room watching TV and having dinner. At the back of the house there is a small but very beautiful garden with different plants and flowers. His father likes to spend his free time there. 

Pedro likes to spend most of his time at home in his bedroom. It's also his study. There is a desk and anew computer in it. He loves his room because he can see the sea from the window. It's a beautiful view.
