Do you have the experience of digging out your suitcase, deciding what to bring and being afraid that you've forgotten something? Hope they can transform the way you pack.
Keep a Basket Handy
Do you wait until the last minute to pack? Keep a basket in your bedroom, living room, or bath room that you can use to throw in items you need to pack as you come across them. Besides, you can just put the contents of the basket into your suitcase if you are in a hurry to leave for the airport.

Keep Old Packing Lists
Chances are that you end up taking trips that require you to pack similar items. Keep old packing lists from former vacations to the beach, ski resort, and city - that way, you'll always have a list of at least the basics.So you don't need to waste your effort to remember where you left your hand-written packing lists.
Schedule a Packing Time
Time can slip away from you before a trip — you may be caught up at work, at home, or be occupied with other responsibilities of daily life. That way, you will not need to do your packing frantically(狂乱地)from the last minute to 1 o'clock on the day you leave.

In the 60s, people asked about your astrological (about star) sign. In the 90s, they want to know your website. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Your website is an electronic meeting place for your family, friends and potentially, millions of people around the world. Best of all, you may not have to spend a cent. The Web is filled with all kinds of free services and all it takes is some time and creativity.
{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Like the table of contents of a book or magazine, the home page is the front door. Your site can have one or more pages, depending on how you design it.
While web pages vary greatly in their design and content, most use a traditional magazine layout (版面设计). At the top of the page is a banner (横幅) GRAPHIC. Next comes a greeting and short description of the site. Pictures, text, and links to other websites follow.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Think about whom the site is for and what you want to say. Next, gather up the material that you want to put on the site.
While there are no rules you have to follow, there are a few things to keep in mind: {#blank#}4{#/blank#} If you want too much at the beginning, you may never get the site off the ground. You can always add to your site.
Less is better. Most people don't like to read a lot of long texts online. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
Smaller is better. Since it can take a long time to download large files, keep the file sizes small.
Have the rights. Don't put any material on your site unless you are sure you can do it legally. Always remember to get the permission from the writer first.
Now it's time to roll up your sleeves and start building.
A. One of them is cleaning the inside of cabs. B. Being a taxi driver can be emotionally rewarding. C. A cab driver must have excellent communication skills. D. There are some taxis specially made for disabled people. E. However, some drivers may be asked to make small repairs. F. These prices must be calculated before the driver sets off on the trip. G. Taxi drivers should have a basic knowledge of a country's spoken language. |
While it may seem that a cab driver has only one responsibility—to drive customers to and from certain destinations, this is not the case. Instead, a cab driver must be ready to take on a number of different tasks. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Taxis have been around in various forms for many centuries, and the many duties of a cab driver increase as time goes on. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Not only do cab drivers have to pick up all kinds of people, but many of them have to interact with their customers. Frequently, cab drivers are hired by tourists or business people for an entire day, and this can mean making unavoidable contact with different people with different personalities.
Taxi drivers must also be able to operate different types of vehicles. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} The vehicles have ramps (斜面) that can be raised and lowered. This type of vehicle requires a special license that most cab drivers must get before obtaining a position as a taxi driver.
Generally, cab drivers are not required to repair vehicles. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} For example, almost all taxi drivers know how to change tires (轮胎), lights, and other small vehicle parts. Many drivers are also responsible for checking the taxi on a regular basis.
Perhaps the most important task that a cab driver must be aware of is how to charge a customer for each trip. While the prices of some trips have been predetermined (商定), such as airport fares, other trips must be calculated using taximeters (计价器) and fee charts. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
