Technology is changing to suit people's needs. Of course, technology has also made life more complicated(复杂的) and some may say, led to bad effects. However, it is obvious that technology has made life better than before. 

There's no doubt that technology has improved the standards of living. Machines can now do the heavier work which human beings find very difficult to do. Industrialization(工业化) has brought about large production, people can get goods at a cheaper

price, too. Technology has made every aspect(方面) of life more convenient:

computers have made work in the office more efficient and transport systems have

made travel cheaper and even more enjoyable. 

Technology has also improved the quality of social life. The communication technology has brought the world closer, whether for business or for personal relationships. 

Yet, even though it is true that life has improved with technology, life has also become more complicated as technology becomes more common in our lives. The use of the Internet has changed the way we communicate, socialize and do business, and thus exposed us to risks. As more business deals take place online, there is an increase in cybercrime(网络犯罪). And stolen data has become a huge problem for businesses and banks. Cyberbullying(网络欺凌) is also becoming more widespread today. 

Still, technology has given us the means to a better life that was unimaginable. To say that technology does not make life better or even makes life worse is a totally wrong conclusion. There are also creative ways to solve the problems that technology has brought about, such as using laws and technology itself to solve the very problems it brings about. For example, some countries have introduced laws that control the use of online information to ensure personal safety is protected. 

The other day I watched a video on TikTok that made me ①c____. The video showed us that a soldier was talking to his three-year-old ②____/'dɔ:tə/. The little girl broke down in tears (眼泪).(A) She was unable to control herself, and kept wiping (擦)tears on her face with her hands while answering her father's words. Dad said, "Is my baby missing Daddy?" "Yes," said the girl, nodding her head and crying. Dad said, "My baby, don't cry. Dad will come home, but Dad can't go home now." The girl still sobbed (抽噎)and nodded. She was trying not to cry, but she couldn't keep her mouth (B)____(close).

I don't know whether this man is a Russian soldier or a Ukrainian(乌克兰的)soldier. But all I know is that he is the father of a child. When I was watching this video, I could not stop my tears (C)____( run) out of my eyes, wishing for the world peace and no war, and praying (祈祷) for the safe return of the baby's father. We don't want to know why there are wars in the world, only hope that there are no wars in the world and no children(D)____ have lost their parents and no parents who have lost their children.

(E)____ the same time, we should thank our motherland (祖国), as she is more and more powerful. (F) We are thankful to our great motherland for giving us a peaceful and beautiful life. The people are safe and happy. Under the epidemic(流行病)situation in the world, China has the biggest population in the world, but gives all the Chinese people free vaccines(疫苗).It is the best country in the world to control the epidemic. So as Chinese people, we should have a thankful heart, work hard, study hard and reward(回报) our motherland.

If you go to another country, what kinds of things would you buy? Would you buy a camera in Japan, some beautiful clothes in France, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a watch in Switzerland? No matter what you may buy, you might think those products were {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in those countries. However, you could be wrong. Kang Jian is a student from Shanghai. Last year he went to visit his aunt and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in San Francisco. He found it {#blank#}4{#/blank#} that so many products in the local shops were made in China." I wanted to buy a toy car for my cousin, but even though most of the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} were American brands, they were made in China."

 Toys are not the only things made in China." I wanted to buy a pair of basketball shoes," he explains." But I had to visit five or six stores {#blank#}6{#/blank#} finding a pair made in America!"

He realized that Americans can hardly avoid {#blank#}7{#/blank#} products made in China." In fact," he continues," there are so many things made in China—footballs, handbags, pet food, mobile phones. Even {#blank#}8{#/blank#} flags are made in China!". Kang Jian thinks it's great that China does {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in making these everyday things. However, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} hopes that in the future China will also get better at making high- technology products that people can buy in all parts of the world.

①Is there anybody who likes doing housework? Should children do housework at home? For some children, doing housework may be the last thing they want to do. For many parents, getting their children to help with some of the housework is also one big headache. However, a Malaysian mother found a creative way. 

②Nurafiza came up with a reward system(奖励制度) for her two sons at home and posted it online. She made a list of housework and gave them money for every task they had completed. The list of housework included cleaning up the house and putting away their toys for RM50 each, studying for RM150, and even not fighting with each other for RM10 to RM15. Nurafiza also opened a" mini market" at home for her kids. Her sons could buy snacks at her mini market which was open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The money she gave to her kids was a kind of prop(道具), which she had bought online. 

③Because of this system, Nurafiza's children are now more willing to do their housework. Her post has got over 15, 000 likes and has been shared over 27, 000 times online. Many parents have begun to imitate her. In other words, they use the same way to teach their children. 

④In fact, doing housework can play a very important role in children's development. First, doing housework teaches children basic skills for living, like cooking, cleaning and so on. Second, doing housework is a good way to help children keep healthy. Third, doing housework creates chances for parents and children to be closer. Finally, a child can grow into a responsible(有责任感的) and independent person by helping with the housework.
