Romeo is my pet dog. He{#blank#}1{#/blank#} （come） to our home years ago. Romeo is very cute. He loves to play games{#blank#}2{#/blank#}me. When I am at home，he{#blank#}3{#/blank#} （follow） me everywhere around the house. Romeo is{#blank#}4{#/blank#}clever dog. He can understand many{#blank#}5{#/blank#} （order） like bringing a toy and dropping it on my foot. 

On{#blank#}6{#/blank#} （sun） days，my family like going out for fun. Romeo always goes with{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（we）. Three years ago，it was an afternoon in my{#blank#}8{#/blank#} （seven）grade，my family went for a picnic in the woods. My two little sisters ran with each other{#blank#}9{#/blank#}got lost. Everyone was very worried. At last，Romeo helped find them{#blank#}10{#/blank#} （quick）.

Willie and his little dog Bounce were best friends. Willie taught his dog many interesting tricks, and often said that Bounce could do almost anything in the world but talk.

One day, Willie walked with Bounce down to the river, which was very close to his father Mr. Brown's store.

Willie began to throw stones into the water and watch ripples (涟漪). Bounce lay on the grass, enjoying the warm sunshine.

There were some logs (原木) floating in the river near the bank. Willie jumped upon one of them to see if he could throw a stone across the river. Just as he was about to throw, the log turned and he fell into the water. He was so scared, for he did not know how to swim, and there was no one nearby.

Not being a big water dog, poor Bounce ran up and down the bank two or three times, barking (叫), looking first at Willie and then around. Then he ran to Mr. Brown's store as fast as he could.

When he got there, he caught hold of Mr. Brown's clothes, then ran to the door, then back again, catching at him, barking and jumping. Mr. Brown realized something was wrong. He went with the dog.

Soon the father came to the river, and saw Willie struggling (挣扎) in the water. Luckily, his father saved him. When he got over his fear, no one seemed to be more delighted than Bounce, his true friend.

I never think that I can make a movie by myself one day. And a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（机会） came last summer. I just finished my short film Summer. I took many film-making lessons in the college, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（尤其） short film-making ones.

I was Dawn in the movie. He couldn't see anything but he never gave up the hope of living. In the story, Dawn worked hard with his friend Annie. I had to act {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（没有） closing my eyes. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（然而）, I could never do that at the beginning. So I {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（练习） over and over again at night. At last, I got pretty good at it!

We all worked hard to make the movie. Our teacher was very {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（满意的）. I still remembered the act of showing a traffic {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（事故）. These actresses had to fall to the ground for many times. It was about the {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（第二十） time that they finally got right. It was very hot and dry, but we never gave up.

We all cried when we saw it at New Times Cinema. I thought it was {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（令人激动的）moment in my life. I will never {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （忘记） this summer.

Two Canadian teenagers, Faiz and Leo, have been taking on a series of wonderful challenges. Their most recent achievement was following the Lake Ontario coastline for 73 kilometers, walking from Toronto to Hamilton, Canada, in about 18 hours.

"We enjoy trying new things that are good for our bodies and minds. We like to overcome challenges like these. And we feel going on a long walk seems to be the purest form of challenge that you can have," Leo said.

With very little preparation, the two 16-year-olds began their journey at 6 am, starting in darkness and finishing before midnight. They took several breaks, stopping at benches with nice views along the way.

On their walk, one of the interesting things they came across was a cargo ship (货船) which was no longer used. "You' d be surprised by the things that you don't see when you' re driving and that you will see when you' re taking your time walking," said Leo.

However, the journey was not only a trial (考验) for bodies but also an important test of minds. There were moments of loneliness for the pair, requiring them to support each other along the way.

Around 70 km into the walk, they ran into a person on a bridge who appeared to be experiencing something painful.

"I wasn't sure what was going to happen me and Leo, we tried to talk him out of it and ended up calling the police, and the situation was eased and everyone was OK," Faiz said.

The walk is now long over but Faiz and Leo are not done challenging themselves, with plans to start a two-day 100 km walk in the near future.

 As we all know, giving gifts is a great way to show our love and care to the birthday person. However, sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right gift. Here is some advice that can help you choose a good gift.

To pick the best gift, you should know the birthday person very well. Start by making a list of all his or her likes. For example, if the person loves traveling, you can buy a map or a backpack. Then try to find something the person needs. If you don't know what the person needs, you can ask others for help.
