阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。

The year 2020 marks the beginning of the decade of the yold, or the "young old", as the Japanese call people aged between 65 and 75, who continue to work and stay socially engaged.  . The yold are more numerous, healthier and wealthier than previous generations of seniors.

 Of the 3.7 years of increased life expectancy (预期寿命) in rich countries between 2000 and 2015, says the WHO, 3. 2 years were enjoyed in good health. Working is one of the factors that are helping people stay healthy longer. A German study found that people who remain at work after the normal retirement age manage to slow the cognitive (认矢口的) decline. The yold are also better off, while the wealth of ail other age groups declined.

The yold are not just any group of old people They are challenging the traditional expectations of the retired as who are wearing indoor shoes and look after the grandchildren.  They become one of the fastest rowing group for airline business. They spend much more, when taking a foreign holiday, than young adults. So they are vital to the Tourism industry. They are also changing education and finance Because of the importance of pensions,  the yold are transforming insurance companies from passive distributors of fired an nuities (年金) to financial service providers for customers who want to manage their pension pots more actively.

 They find that older workers have, if anything, slightly above-average productivity and that teams of workers from multiple generations are the most productive of all. Societies should be better off because public spending on health and pensions should be lower than expected, as people work longer and need less medical care.

Today, some big things will have to change, under pressure from the yold themselves. The most important is public attitudes towards older people and in particular the expectation that 60-somethings ought to quietly retire into the background.  The yold will demand that companies become more age-friendly and, in the process, help change attitudes towards aging itself.

A. Healthy yold people will require great changes in health spending.

B. Many companies discriminate against older workers by offering training only to younger ones.

C. The rise of the yold will definitely be a blessing to both culture and economy.

D. Health worsens with age, but the yold are resisting the decline better than most.

E. Many bosses think productivity falls with age, but studies in Germany suggest otherwise.

F. That will disturb consumers, service and financial markets.

G. The yold, in their new appearance as the young old, are expected to change the world.

    With the summer holiday just around the corner, it seems like everybody is busy planning their vacations. Here are some tips that can help you enjoy your holiday without empting your pocket:

    Travel off-season

    Go to your desired destination while the demand is low and take advantage of huge discounts. During the peak season, the hotel and flight prices increase quickly, and you'll likely spend more of your vacation time standing in line due to the rush of tourists. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Websites can help you find discount hotel rooms. Look for places that do not charge extra for children if they use the existing bedding. Stay with the locals. If you and your family are going to stay for a longer period, renting a small apartment is a good choice.

    Eat like a local

    Why eat at big chain restaurants when you can experience something new? {#blank#}3{#/blank#} During your family trip, try new food where the locals eat. This will not just save money, but also provide you with a new and different experience. For smaller meals and snacks, avoid restaurants and try street food or other takeout.

    Don't hesitate to bargain

    Tourist- heavy places are known for overcharging for just about everything. Clothes, travel goodies, souvenirs, etc. are very expensive at these places. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Bargain hard to get the best price.

    Choose local transportation

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Instead, take buses, railways or subways, which are always cheaper. If you are planning to stay for a while, you can consider renting a car. Hiring a car is much easier than carrying your bags everywhere if you are moving around a lot.

A. Save on hotels.

B. Surf the Internet while traveling.

C. Therefore, avoid buying anything there.

D. So it's best to find out when the off-season starts.

E. Planning your meals is another way to reduce your travel costs.

F. For this reason, you shouldn't feel ashamed to ask for bargains.

G .As a tourist, avoid taking taxis whenever possible, since they are expensive.

    Being fit is a way of saying a person eats well, gets a lot of physical exercise, and has a healthy weight. There are a lot of discussions these days about fit kids.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    1).Eat a variety of foods. You may have a favorite food, but the best choice is to eat a variety.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}Taste new foods and old ones you haven't tried for a while. Some foods, such as green vegetables,  are more pleasing the older you get. Shoot for at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day-two fruits and three vegetables.

    2).Listen to your body. What does it feel like to be full? When you're eating, notice how your body feels and when your stomach feels comfortably full. Sometimes, people eat too much because they don't notice when they need to stop eating.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    And over a period of time, overeating can lead to unhealthy weight gain.

    3).{#blank#}4{#/blank#}.What's screen time? It's the amount of time you spend watching TV or DVDs, playing video games, and using the computer. The more time you spend on these sitting-down activities, the less time available for active stuff, like basketball, bike riding and swimming.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    These rules aren't magic.

    Develop Better Relationships with Neighbors

    Good neighbors are a lot like electricity or running water:we don't know how much we depend on them until we don't have them. They make our lives more pleasant and give us a sense of who we wrte, both as an individual and as a member of the community. Here is how to develop your relationships with these very important people in your life.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Often neighbors don't even know each other's names. But it's okay to be the one to break the ice , even if you've lived next door for years.Most neighbors enjoy making small talk with the folks on the other side of the fence. So as you see them at work in their yards, smile, wave, and say hello. Ask how their kids are (whether they're babies or in college), whether they could use an extra cucumber from your garden, or what they think of the price at the local supermarket.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} These days, the old Welcome Wagon is a thing of the past. But your new neighbors may be feeling lonely and unsure, especially if they're far from home, and might appreciate a friendly face bearing fresh-baked chocolate cakes. If they have kids, tell them where the children in the neighborhood live. Recommend the best places to eat and sleep. Invite them over for coffee or tea when they get settled, give them your number, and point to your house as you say good-bye.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Return anything that you borrow from a neighbor, such as tools, in good repair and as soon as you've finished with them. Replace anything that belongs to your neighbor that you, your children, or your pets break or soil. Make sure that your car is not blocking their doorway. Such random acts of consideration will have your neighbors talking—and the talk will be good.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} If you value a friendship with your neighbors, spend time with them. What better way to meet your neighbors than to invite them to an informal barbecue, pool party, or holiday open house? Better yet, you might even consider throwing a get-together in their honor. Deliver the invitations in person to everyone who lives on your street and chat with each for five minutes before moving on to the next house. This way, you will get an idea of what your neighbors are like so that you can plan for appropriate food and music.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} In a good relationship, it's really the little things that count. Help to bring in the mail for the elderly neighbor when there is a heavy rain. When your neighbor gorgets to take in his rubbish cans, roll them back into his yard. If you're truly concerned, you'll know when your neighbor needs some cheering up—a bunch of flowers or a helping hand when it's needed. All it takes to develop your relationship with neighbors is the respect for their feelings.

How to be realistic

    In order to be realistic, you must understand yourself and the world around you. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}You still need to challenge yourself, but if you have tried something several times, then you need to accept that maybe you can't do it. Keep yourself firmly on the ground and read on.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}Try new things and do your best at them, but if you find that it is something you can't do after many tries, accept the failures and be realistic.

    Challenge yourself. You need to try before you can be realistic and say, “I can't do that.” No one ever got anywhere without trying. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Sometimes you need to find the one that works for you.

    Follow what you believe. People may tell you that you can do something if you try hard enough, and sometimes they are right. But if you know that you can't do it, follow what you believe.

    See what is there. You don't need to analyze everything. Don't look below the surface. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Always expect what you know to be realistic. Don't look for miracles.

    I've seen every shape, color and creative package of job application possible. But I've never seen one that actually scared me. But then recently, something happening shocked me.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, safety guards at Eastern Illinois University asked all the students to leave a building.

    “There was no return address. It was poorly written and poorly addressed to the university. There were misspellings,” school spokeswoman Vicki Woodard said on Saturday. “There was some tape over it. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.” The unusual size, no return address, misspellings in the address and the tape holding torn parts together were enough to bring in the local bomb experts. They examined the package with X-rays and blocked off nearby streets—only to discover the envelope contained only an application for admission to the school.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Would you think that young student would be a great addition to your university? Would you want that person working for you—representing your company? {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, with a baseball cap on, and then asking, “You don't have any jobs, do you?”, I am always amazed. I also see college graduates wandering at career fairs in slippers and coffee-stained T-shirts, handing out resumes (简历) in hope of getting a well-paid job. These people are usually not hired.

It's funny how a clean shirt and pair of pants, an enthusiastic smile and direct eye contact can change the economy immediately. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

A. If you dress well and behave politely

B. Just the whole appearance was rather strange

C. I wonder what you would think of that application

D. Good manners and politeness are usually ignored nowadays.

G. It's also funny how a well-prepared application will get you into your favorite university
