    To achieve determination, we need the followed steps. First, we should adopt a positive attitude towards fail. Although some smokers have tried in vain to give up smoking over a hundred of times, they should continue their attempts and view their previous failure part of their success because they have tried after all. The same is true which it comes to our daily life. Even if we run into unexpected difficulties, we should stay optimistic after reaching our goal. Second, when accomplishing a task, we should make the plan. If smokers can't quit smoking once and for all, they can reduce the amount of cigarettes they have per day until this bad habit is dropped complete.     As is known to all that the same body language may have different meaning in different cultures. If we don t use body language properly, we may be misunderstanding.

Last year I had a holiday in Thailand. I was walking in the street while I saw a boy falling down. I quickly ran over, help him stand up and patted him on the head. Surprisingly, he seemed very much angry and walked away. I had meant to comfort him with the way we Chinese usually do. Later, I know that it's impolite to pat a child's head in Thailand. I feel it is time that I learn more about other cultures.

    Obviously body language is an important part of international communication. Only when we know more about other cultures can we have better understanding of foreigners.

    Our class joined in a meaningful activity during the winter vacation. First, we went to visit the old lady who lived all alone. Some chatted with her but others helped do a thorough cleaning for us. When the work was done, the house looked real neat and tidy. Then we went to the sport center, where all equipment needed polished. We set out to work at once. Everything was dust-free at no time. Having done all this, we saw a pleasant community than before. Dear Tom,

    I'm glad to hear that you are considering make up with Peter. If I am you, I would consider a bike as a birthday present for him.

    As far as I know, Peter is always in poor health, so he should take more exercises by riding a bike to have his body build up. In the meanwhile, you can often go out by bike together, which is helpfully in rebuilding your friendship. Besides, taking a bike is environmentally friendly means of transport.
