Hearing that I had his wallet, he sighed with relief and told me he would come right away. Ten minutes late, the man arrived. After confirm he was the owner, I returned the wallet back to him. With his thumb up, he expressed his thank to me repeatedly. Seeing the smile on his face, I felt happy that I was able to help.

    About one year before, we got a lovely cat named Tom. He enjoys watch my elderly neighbor in her garden. Although he won't let her to touch him, he always keeps an eye on her.

    One afternoon I heard Tom calling strange. When I reached the door to check on him, his calling stops, so I headed back to the kitchen. Just as I did, her calling started again. I stepped outside to find Tom sitting next to my elderly neighbors who had fallen. She didn't have strength to get up and shout for help. Tom didn't leave her side until help arrived. With Tom, she might not have been found in time.

    I saw a example of kindness during the Special Olympic Games in 1968. Kim, a severe disabled boy, took part in the 50-meter dash. He was racing against two other athlete who were in wheelchairs. In the race, Kim quickly moved ahead the other two. Ten meters from the finish line, he has turned to see how the others were doing. The other boy was pushed forward with his hands. The girl had turned her wheelchair around, but he was stuck against the wall. Kim stopped, went back, but pushed the girl across the finish line. The boy in the wheelchair won the race, and the girl comes in second place. Kim lost the race. However, the crowd, included me, didn't think so, so we all gave him a cheer for his kindness.
