Hello, my name is Kate. I have studied in a nursing school for three years. During my second month of the school, our teacher gave us a small test. I answered the questions very quickly until I read the last one:“What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?” I thought this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman a few times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how could I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. “Of course,” said the teacher, “As a nurse, you will meet many people. You should care all of them, even if al1 you do is just to smile and say ‘hello’.”  I've never forgotten that lesson. Later I learned her name was Dorothy.

    When something great happens to a friend, a family member or a classmate, congratulations are in order! However, some people don't know how to congratulate others. Here are some ways to show your congratulations.

Say “congratulations” with a smile. Remember to express your congratulations with a winning smile. The expression on your face is pretty important. If you say “congratulations” with a serious look on your face, the person will probably think you aren't actually all that happy for him or her.

    Send an en email or a card. Besides saying “congratulations in person, you might want to send a congratulatory note. You can send a simple email or write a message on a card. You can buy some beautiful cards in the store.

    Send a gift. If the occasion is special enough, you can send a gift. You don't need to buy something expensive. Try to buy a suitable gift. All in all, choose a gift that lets the person know you want to celebrate with him or her.

    Spread the word. You can help spread the person's joy by telling other people the good news, so they can congratulate the person as well. If the person prefers to keep the good news private, don't spread the word.

    Mrs. Cooper is over 90, but she can still play a game of Words with Friends, a popular puzzle game app, on her iPad. She says that the Apple product(产品) has changed her life.

    Mrs. Cooper lives in a house close to Manchester Airport in London. She often uses her iPad to track the planes that fly overhead and explore(探索) the world with Google Earth.

    "I'm crazy about the planes, so I choose the Flight Tracker to see where the planes around me are going. It's a wonderful way to keep in touch with the world," she said. "I use it nearly all the hours of daylight, 2-3 hours in the morning, then again in the afternoon."

    Mrs. Cooper taught painting when she left school. She had a laptop（手提电脑）, but struggled（费力）with it. " Her problem was that she couldn't see the cursor（光标）, and her hands shake so hard that she almost can't use the mouse." said her 63-year-old daughter, Jean. "I was in America visiting my daughter, and I played with an iPad and decided to buy one for my mother."

    Jean got some apps for the iPad, so her mother could learn how to use them. "She uses it several hours a day, and is curious(好奇的) to keep up with everything new. She reads the news, sends emails and uses Face Time to make video calls to us all. We're glad that she can enjoy her life with the magic thing." she said.

    There is a new park near Andy's home. It's fine today. Andy and his family are in the park now. On their left, there is a café(咖啡馆). On their right, there is a big lake. There are many flowers and trees around the lake. There's a small hill behind the lake. Near the lake, there are two signs(标识). One says, "Don't swim in the lake!" The other says, "No fishing!" But you can go boating on the lake. There is a beautiful garden in the middle of the park. There is green grass and beautiful flowers in it. There are some small shops between the lake and the garden. The park is so nice. Andy and his family like it very much.
