A. Robots will have replaced people in factories.

B. Scientists have already produced clones of animals.

C. Medical technology will have controlled many diseases.

D. Cars will run on new, clean fuels and they will go very fast.

E. No one can predict what our world will look like in the near future.

F. So many changes have taken place in this planet that there will be no life existing on it.

G. Instead, people will choose a program from a "menu" and a computer will send the program directly to the television.

    Futurologists (未来学家) predict that life will probably be very different in 2050.

    TV channels will have disappeared. Today, we can use the World Wide Web to read newspaper stories and see pictures on a computer thousands of kilometers away. By 2050, music, films, programs, newspapers and books will come to us by computer.

    Cars will have computers to control the speed and there won't be any accidents. Today, many cars have computers that tell drivers exactly where they are. By 2050, the computer will control the car and drive it to your destination.

    Many factories already use robots. Big companies prefer robots—they don't ask for pay rises or go on strike, and they work 24 hours a day. By 2050, we will see robots everywhere—in factories, schools, offices, hospitals, shops and homes.

    Today, there are devices (设备) that connect directly to the brain to help people hear. By 2050, we will be able to help blind and deaf people to see and hear again with the help of new technology.

    Scientists will have discovered how to control genes. By 2050, scientists will be able to produce clones of people, and decide how they look, how they behave and how clever they are. Scientists will be able to do these things, but should they?

    "You are what you eat," goes an English saying. But actually, you are what you drink. Why? Because 75% of your body is water! {#blank#}1{#/blank#} When we don't give our bodies enough water, our organs cannot work properly. We are also easier to catch a disease. When we are sick, drinking plenty of water should be one of the first things we do. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Is your body asking for more water?

    If you experience headaches, sleepiness, allergies or dizziness (头昏眼花), your body might be telling you to drink more water. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Even problems such as nervousness or forgetfulness can be caused by lack of water. In addition, the medicines that treat these illnesses can sometimes dry out your body further. The more water you are lacking in, the worse your health will be-no matter how much medicine you take. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    How much water is enough for you?

    Most experts suggest drinking at least 8-ounce glasses of water every day. However, if you weigh more than 128 pounds, you need even more water. Drink an extra glass of water for every 15 pounds of body weight.

    Drink more water in the hot summer months and when you exercise to replenish (补充) the water loss through sweating. Caffeine makes your body lose water very quickly. So drink extra water if you drink beverages such as coffee, tea and soda.

    Helpful tips

    Try these tips to help yourself drink more water.

    Don't wait until you are thirsty to drink. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Plan to have enough water.

    Carry a bottle of pure water with you wherever you go.

    Don't hesitate by frequent trips to the toilet.

    Drinking plenty of water can take as much time as you need and prevent serious illness in the future. So pour yourself a glass of water and drink up!

B. All kinds of drink will contribute to your health.

C. If you're thirsty, you're already lack of water.

Making the decision to invest in healthy lifestyle changes is more than just flipping a switch. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Psychologists have found that it takes an average of 66 days for a new habit to become automatic, but the truth is that building and maintaining lifestyle changes is highly dependent on each individual. However, there are some easy strategies that can help you develop a lifestyle change plan that works for you.

Focus on the whole picture. Lifestyle changes are like a puzzle. There are many pieces that must be added up to the whole picture. Building habits in only one area of the puzzle will leave your overall picture lacking dimension. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So it is important to understand how they all interact when setting up your lifestyle change plan.

Set realistic and achievable goals. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Focus on setting goals that are realistic. Instead of expecting to run a marathon in six months, shoot for running a 5-kilometer race and then work up to the marathon. Setting realistic goals that you can achieve and then building on them will help you maintain momentum(动力) and stay motivated.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Building habits takes time. Be patient with yourself and understand that the fastest way forward isn't always the smartest way forward. The goal in creating lifestyle changes isn't to get to the finish line as quickly as possible. The goal is to build habits that are sustainable in your everyday life. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. Track your progress and adjust your goals accordingly.

B. Adopt new habits slowly and build on success.

C. Therefore, focus on building one habit at a time.

D. The goals you set for yourself are essential for overall success in changing your lifestyle.

E. Making sustainable lifestyle changes is a process that takes time, dedication and patience.

F. So, give yourself time to start small and build on success so that the end result is rock solid.

G. Your physical, mental and emotional health all work together to make or break lifestyle changes.
