A. Organize your materials.

B. Start with difficult material first.

C. Your room may be an ideal place for studying.

D. This will help you quickly get into the state of study.

E. Schedule an hour or two for studying during those times each day.

F. However, many students find their former study habits are not suitable for college.

G. You can also use apps to stop distracting websites like Facebook while you're studying.

    Having good study habits is key to success in college. To begin making the change, you need to get organized to study.

    Create a fixed study space. Find a quiet space in your room or somewhere on campus where you can focus. Studying in the same place every day makes your brain combine a certain environment with work.

    Find a regular time for studying. If you study at the same time each day, your brain will be prepared for learning when you sit down. Review your schedule and see when you have free time. You can study during gaps between classes or in the evening after your classes are done for the day.

    Make sure you have everything you need to study at your study space. If you're studying in a place in your home, keep things like your books, pencils, pens, and paper in that area. If you go out to study, you can take a book bag and keep all your studying materials stored there.

    Avoid distractions (干扰). When you prepare your study space, it's important to keep it away from distractions. Remove any technologies that will take your mind off your work, like your iPad. Besides, keep other distracting materials such as outside reading, away from your study area.

    The Internet has opened up a whole new online world for us to meet, chat and go where we've never been before. But just as in face to face communication, there are some rules of behavior that should be followed when on line.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Imagine how you'd feel if you were in the other person's shoes. For anything you're about to send,ask yourself, "Would I say this to the person's face?" If the answer is no, rewrite and reread.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

     If someone in the chat room is rude to you, your instinct (本能) is to fire back in the same manner. But try not to do so. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} If it was caused by a disagreement with another member, try to fix the situation by politely discussing it. Remember to respect the beliefs and opinions of others in the chat room.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Offer advice when asked by newcomers, as they may not be sure what to do or how to communicate. When someone makes a mistake, whether it's a stupid question or an unnecessarily long answer, be kind about it. If it's a small mistake, you may not need to say anything. Even if you feel strongly about it, think twice before saying anything. Having good manners yourself doesn't give you license to correct everyone else. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} At the same time, if you find you are wrong, be sure to correct yourself and apologize to those that you have offended. It is not polite to ask others personal questions such as their age, sex and marital status. Unless you know the person very well, and you are both comfortable with sharing personal information, don't ask such questions.

A. It's natural that there're some people who speak rudely or make mistakes online.

B. Repeat the process till you feel sure that you'd feel comfortable saying the words to the person's face.

C. Everyone was new to the network once.

D. The basic rule is simple: treat others in the same way you would want to be treated.

E. When you send short messages to a person online, you must say something beautiful to hear.

F. You should either ignore the person, or use your chat software to block their messages.

G. If you do decide to tell someone about a mistake, point it out politely.

Resolving (解决) Conflict in Friendships Conflict is surely a common problem in life and friendships. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} That's because there isn't enough depth to guarantee all the trouble it takes to smooth over the disagreement. Unfortunately, even when the friendship reaches a deeper level, conflict continues to happen and can break apart a relationship. Here are some resolutions.

Resolve it the day it happens. One rule my parents follow in their marriage is that they don't go to bed angry with each other. They always attempt to resolve things the day it happens so that in the morning, it's a fresh start with no past grudge (怨恨). I've found I need a short cool down period so that I don't act in anger. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Whatever you do, don't let things ride for too long.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Sometimes if you sit down and talk things over, you begin to see where the other person is coming from. Realize that everyone has been created differently with various talents, abilities, and personality traits. For example, you might be a leader while your friend is more of a follower. You may be frustrated with him or her for not being very decisive. Yet it is important to understand that each person is unique and needs to be appreciated.

Initiate resolution. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Even when you think the other person is wrong,it's not a bad thing to say "I'm sorry if I offended you in that way." If you're honest and genuine in delivering your words, there's a good chance your friend will respond positively.

Most importantly, be loving in what you do. Try to focus on peacefully resolving the disagreement. It is not a most pleasant task to resolve conflict in any friendship. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. Don't expect too much.

B. Try to see the other person's perspective.

C. Be the first person in a fight to say sorry for your part.

D. Many shallow friendships end up being ruined after an argument.

E. To say sorry bravely when a conflict breaks out is a better resolution.

F. However, it is worth the efforts because it results in a deeper friendship.

G. For some, counting to one hundred before saying anything may be an option.
