Harry had a very small farm. He only had one cow but dreamed about having a large farm. He once asked his father Bill, “I'd like to have that land over there. Li Ming is a school boy .He is twelve .He lives in Shanghai .He studies in the No.3 Middle School .He gets up at half past five every day .He reads English and Chinese in the morning .He has breakfast at seven .After that ,he goes to school with his friends .They have four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon .In the evening he does his homework at home .But he often watches TV on Saturday evening .Li Ming likes drawing .He draws better than his sister .He likes reading English books .Now he is reading an English book in the room .

    There are two deaf(聋的) men in a small village. One is Mr. White and the other is Mr. Black. They live near to each other. They are good friends.
    Mr. White and Mr. Black often talk together. They talk about all kinds of things. Sometimes they are worried about their hearing. But one thinks the other is much deafer.
    One day Mr. Black comes to see Mr. White. Mr. White is sitting on a chair, He is having a rest. Mr. Black stops at the door and asks, “Can you hear me?” There is no answer. Mr. Black goes nearer and asks again, “Can you hear me?” Again he doesn't hear any answer. Mr. Black is quite pleased. China Youth says that more and more girl students have entered colleges to study in recent few years. As we know, once the number of boys was larger than that of girls, and the boys did much better than girls in our country for a long time. Now things have changed a lot.
In recent years, the proportion of girl students is growing fast. In 1998, about 39.7% of college students were girls. In 2000, it was 41.07% and in 2001, the number was 42.14%.
There are several reasons for this.
Firstly, there is little difference between boys and girls in their intelligence(智力). That's to say, girls are as clever as boys. And boys have more interests than girls, so they may not do well in their study.
Secondly, girls are more careful and more sensible than boys. They work harder at school and they do better in all exams.
Another reason is that with the development of society, people pay more and more attention to girls' education.
