Kumar and his two friends built a robot and named it Athena. They would go for Battle of the Bots--the city's biggest robot competition, and it would start in two days. The winning team would get $5,000.

Kumar said, "The Cougars always build a big and strong (强壮的) robot. But usually their robot isn't very fast."

As white matter is the key to spatial（空间的）tasks, men know better where things are in relation to other things. “A great footballer always knows where he is in relation to the other players, and he knows where to go,” says one researcher. That may explain one of life's great mysteries: why men refuse to ask for directions … and women often need to!
   The differences begin when fetuses（胎儿）are about nine weeks old, which can be seen in the action of children when they are very young. A boy would try to climb a barrier before him or push it down while a girl would ask for help from others. These brain differences also explain the fact that more men take up jobs that require good spatial skills, while more women speech skills. It may all go back to our ancestors, among whom women needed speech skills to take care of their babies and men needed spatial skills to hunt, according to one research.

In recent years advances in medical technology have made it possible for people to live longer than in the past. New medicines and machines are developing every day to extend life. However, some people, including some doctors, don't agree with these life extending measures, and they say that people should have the right(权利)t o die when they want, They say that the quality of life is as important as life itself, and that people should not be forced to go on living when conditions of life have become unbearable. They say that people should be allowed to die with dignity(尊严) and to decide when they want to die. We need people to prepare our food and cook it and others to take our waste things away. Then, of course, we need doctors, nurses, government leaders, mailmen, telephone operators, and many others.
   We also need other human beings in another way. We need people for friendship, to talk over our problems, exchange ideas. Think how lonely and unhappy you would be if you lived all alone.
   Life is a matter of giving and taking. We need to help other people as much as we need other people to help us. Think what a good feeling you have when you have done something for someone else!

Today, there are more than 20 BeiDou satellites above our heads. And the system is able to offer open services to the Asia— Pacific area.

China plans to send more BeiDou 3 satellites into space. BeiDou—3's position accuracy(精确度) is less than five meters, By 2020, the BeiDou system will have 35 satellites and begin serving Globally.
