Feeling "worried" can describe lots of different feelings from being tired or sad to being frustrated, nervous or a bit sick.

You might be worried about something in particular, like a test, or you might not know why you feel worried, which is normal and okay too.

Ways to stop feeling worried

When you are feeling worried, you may begin to lack confidence and start feeling that you're not good enough.

This is normal. The best thing to do is to stop, take a deep breath and focus on all the things you are good at or talented in, however small they may seem.

Positive thoughts will help you feel better in yourself.

Other ways to stop yourself from feeling worried include:

★Doing a different activity

★Getting some exercise

★Eating some healthy food

These will help you feel fit and strong.

Sometimes the best solution is to relax —find a comfortable chair to sit on or have a lie-down(小睡), slow down your breathing and relax.

The Mogao Grottoes (莫高窟) are a very special place in China, which stand in Dunhuang, Gansu {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (省). The Mogao Grottoes, with thousands of years, were {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (列表) as a world cultural heritage (遗产) in 1987.

Fan Jinshi, a{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (著名) archaeologists (考古学家), was born in Beijing on July 9, 1938. Influenced by her father, Fan has visited a lot of museums{#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( 自 从 ) she was in middle school. She studied in Peking University and{#blank#}5{#/blank#} ( 毕 业 ) in 1963 with the great love of Chinese culture. She spends almost 60 years taking care of the Mogao Grottoes. People call her the "Daughter of Dunhuang "{#blank#}6{#/blank#} ( 直 接 ).

On{#blank#}7{#/blank#} ( 五 月 ) 4th, 2023, Fan Jinshi returned to Peking University and brought back 10 million RMB donations to set up the Fan Jinshi Education Fund to{#blank#}8{#/blank#} ( 支 持 ) the research of Dunhuang Studies at Peking University.

"Money made should be spent in the right way. People can't only think of{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(他们)," she said. "Hopefully the setting of the Fund can help Dunhuang studies at the university, so it can raise cultural{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (信心) and strength."

Every school has its own rules.The rules change from one school to another.There are also some rules that look strange or funny to us.Here are some funny school rules.

Japan：Most schools demand（要求） that students wear uniforms，such as sports suits or skirts.They also demand that girls' white socks should be folded（折叠）（某种） way and boys' heads should be shared（剃）.

The US：At some US schools，students must have a pair of indoor shoes to change into every day.Chewing gum（口香糖） is not allowed（允许），because it is difficult to clean up.

Britain：Strange hairstyles（奇怪的发型）are not allowed at some British schools.But they might（可能）allow students to wear certain hairstyles during the World Cup.

Lake Baikal (贝加尔湖)  is the largest,  deepest freshwater lake in the world.Every winter when the lake freezes over (冻结)  for half the year, 80 -year- old Lyubov skates across the ice wherever she needs to go.

Lyubov has been using the ice to travel around her home for her whole life.As a child, she skated about 2.5 miles each way to school and back.She once fell through the ice and was luckily saved by her classmates.

Lyubov lives alone now in a small house on the bank of Lake Baikal.Her children and five grandchildren don't often visit her because they live five hours away by car.She has to look on a group of dogs, cows and chickens as her friends.Luckily, she has the ice to help her feel free！"For me, ice means being able to go everywhere," the grandmother said.

Every day, she skates half an hour to other villages to do her shopping.With temperatures often reaching -40 ℃  , it' s hard for an old woman to live a normal life.But Lyubov says that her everyday skating enables her to live a long and energetic life. " People keep telling me 1 should slow down, but I just can't , " she said with a smile." I don't have time to be bored; there' s too much work to do."

Taking public transportation（公共交通） in the United States, you can often see people reading books on their way to school or work. But in China, I rarely （很少的） see people reading during their free time. 

Are people's attitudes toward reading different here？Not really, Data （数据） released by Amazon China in December 2017 show that Chinese people still read a lot. They simply prefer e﹣books over regular books. 

However, other data show that reading is still more popular in the US than in China. Is there a reason for this difference？I'm not sure. What I do know is that China has a rich history of literature （文学） （From classic novels like Romance of the Three Kingdoms（《三国演义》） to the modern science﹣fiction books The Three﹣ Body Problem（《三体》）, Chinese writers have created many fantastic written works. Perhaps the difference starts from childhood. Reading textbooks and doing homework can make you feel quite tired. By the time you finish it, you might not fell like reading for fun. Chinese students definitely （肯定） have to read more and do more homework than US students. So it's no wonder that they might not want to read much in their spare time. 

But learning to love reading can be great. Reading can open doors to places, people and ideas that you cannot imagine. Even just a single book has the power to change your own beliefs and attitudes. Where will your next book take you?
