Bio-robots are robots that look like animals. They can fly like birds, swim like fish or move like insects. They are helping researchers learn more about how animals live. 

● Bat (蝙蝠) robot

Bat flight is not simple. Its body parts fold and unfold with every wing beat. The force comes from its strong but thin wings. If you want to make a flying robot, said Science Focus, don't copy bats. 

But that's what researchers did in the US. B2 is a robot made to understand bat flight. It has very thin wings. Can it fly like a bat? Yes! B2 moves its wings and does sharp dives and turns, just like a real bat! 

They hope to make even better robot bats in the future. 

● Guppy (孔雀鱼) robot

Some people think fish are stupid, but there are still many things we can learn about them. 

German researchers now use a robotic fish to better understand group behavior in guppies. The team put a 3D-printed guppy under the fish tank. It copied the speed and direction of a fish partner, who thought the printed guppy was real. 

Researchers learned that swimming speed is important to guppies. When they swim faster, they swim better together. 

● Cockroach (蟑螂) robot

It has four legs instead of six, but this 4.5-centimeter-long cockroach robot can walk and climb walls just like real cockroaches. 

The 1.5-gram robot was made for Rolls-Royce. The engine-maker wants tiny robots to look around inside airplane engines (引擎) because humans can't go there. To meet their needs, engineers thought about cockroaches' sticky feet. 

The robot uses electricity to stick to walls. Engineers tested it inside an airplane engine. It stuck on better than a real insect, according to Science Focus.

There are lots of fun-filled ethnic(少数民族的)festivals in our country. Let's take a look at some of them. 

March Fair of Bai People

The March Fair is the most important festival for the Bai people living in Dali, Yunnan. It starts from the 15th day of the 3rd lunar month and lasts about 7 days. During the festival, people in and around Dali come together for trade. What's more, they race horses, dance to and sing traditional songs. 

Torch Festival of Yi People

In Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan, Yi people celebrate the Torch(火把)Festival. It usually takes place from the 24th to the 26th day of the 6th lunar month every year. As part of the festival, every family needs to light a torch. The idea is that these torches will drive away bad luck. In the center of town, there is always a bonfire(篝火), People of all ages sing and dance around it. 

Water Festival of Dai People

The Water Festival is the New Year for the Dai people living in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. It lasts 3 days in April. During the festival, Dai people wear their festival suits to dance and throw water at each other (they believe it could bring happiness and good luck). The wetter you get, the luckier you will be.

A team of 32 students at the Eindhoven University of Technology has created an electric car that can remove CO₂ from the air while it drives down the road.

The two-seater sports car was designed and built in less than a year. It is called "ZEM". According to the team, 10 ZEM cars on the road for a year can remove as much CO₂ as a tree does in that time. There are over 1 billion passenger cars around the world now. If they could be replaced by ZEM, the result would be huge.

ZEM also has several other advantages that help to make it more environment-friendly.First of all, most of the car's parts are 3D printed to reduce waste. Besides, it was built using recycled and recyclable plastic. And it can be easily taken apart so that many of its parts can be reused. ZEM's battery (电池) is also reusable.

Unfortunately, the Eindhoven team can't drive ZEM on its US road trip: 3D-printed cars are not allowed on the road. The team says, "We're not finished developing yet, and we want to take some big steps in the coming years.We warmly invite car companies to come and take a look."

These days, if you want to travel from New York to Beijing, the flight will take about 16 hours. You also have to wait at the airport, and sometimes you have to transfer onto a different airplane. If you add up all of the time, the trip will take at last 20 hours. But in the future, the trip from New York to Beijing might only take two hours.

Right now, a company is developing (开发) something called ET3—"evacuated tube (真空管) transport technology". Here's how it works. A tube goes all the way from New York to Beijing. The tube is only a few meters wide. Capsules (舱) move through the tube. Six people can sit in one capsule.

For international travel, the capsules can travel at about 6,500 kilometers per hour. Why can they travel so fast? Because there isn't any air in the ET3 tubes, the capsules can move at such a high speed. Also, the capsules are quite light. Each only weighs 183 kilograms. There are other advantages (优点) of ET3. Because it use electricity, it's quite clean. Also, it's a lot quieter than air planes and cars. Last, ET3 tube and capsules don't need much building materials.

Of course, there are still some problems about ET3. The biggest problem is that right now it would cost a lot to build ET3. To lower the cost, we will need much better technology.

However, it's still exciting to think of how ET3 will change the travel in the future. Who knows? Maybe someday you can have lunch in New York and dinner in Beijing.

However, in my {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(看法), the Giant's Causeway is the most wonderful. It's{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(巨大的). There are about 40, 000 rocks, most of them with six {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (侧面). To some degree, Lingling a{#blank#}9{#/blank#} with me, though she thinks Victoria Falls is more wonderful.  It is about 1, 700 metres w{#blank#}10{#/blank#} and 100 metres high. What about you?
