u  Using paper with lines (线条)

Using paper with lines can keep you writing straight when you write English words or sentences. Those lines on the paper can help you to write words in the right size.

u  Slow down

If your writing is hard to read, try slowing down a little. For some kids, going slower makes the handwriting clear. If you write too fast, it's hard for you to stop where you should, and even worse, you may make more mistakes.

u  Hold your pencil right

When you hold your pencil the correct way, writing is much easier. Try to be relaxed and don't hold the pencil so hard while writing, and then it makes your handwriting nice and clean. If you do so, people will think you are a student with a good habit.

u  Draw more pictures

Drawing can improve your handwriting. You need to use the skills to control(控制) your pencil better when you are drawing pictures. If you have no time for drawing at school, you can practice it at home.

Animation (动画片)

Animation is one of the oldest special kinds in the film world. It began in the early 1900s. It is not difficult but it does take a lot of time and hard work.

IMAX films

IMAX is short for " Image Maximum (巨幕电影)" . When you watch an IMAX film, you don't sit up—you lie back.    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} The screen is above, in front of and around you. 

In order to create its effects, IMAX films use different theatres, cameras and film from other movies. Most IMAX theatres are in museums, science centers and theme (主题) parks. The IMAX camera is very large and uses a lot of film. It is also very heavy. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

3-D films

3-D films are not new. They first appeared in 1903. The inventors wanted viewers to feel like they were really inside the movie they were watching! When you watch a 3-D movie, you feel as if the people on the screen are close enough to touch and that the airplane flying at you is flying right off the screen.

If you are backpacking through Europe, the best time to travel is from November to March, when you'll find cheap tickets for planes and hotels. However, if you're planning a ski vacation or you want to visit the

Christmas Markets, you'll find large crowds of travelers. The busiest time of year for Europe is summer. From June to August, travelers from all over the world go to this place to enjoy the good weather.

Have you ever planted aloe vera(芦荟)? With long and green leaves, the plant usually grows in dry and hot places. 

Aloe vera is a very hard- working plant. It can be used to help with cuts or burns. Aloe vera also cleans the air around it. Bad air can come from the paint on the walls of some houses. Aloe vera can make the air clean again. Aloe vera is also a good plant to have in your room at night when you sleep. The plant can take in the air you breathe out and then give off the clean air that you breathe in. 

Aloe vera is popular for its long life as well. Most of the plants can live for around ten years indoors. However, if they are carefully cared for, they can live for over 20 years. Warm and dry air, lots of bright light, regular watering, and protection from pests and diseases will help them live longer. 

Growing an aloe vera plant at home is very easy! You can buy a plant at a store. Put it in a place with lots of sunlight. Water your plant during the spring, summer and autumn. If you want more aloe vera plants, you can just break off part of the plant and put it into the ground. Then it will grow again. 

 Do you know anything about the invention of the bar code(条形码)?

A small food store owner found it was 1 to keep records of the product information. In 1948, he asked the Drexel Institute of Technology to solve this 2 . Bernard Silver, a graduate student, was interested. He and his friend Norman Joseph Woodland  3 to work on it. Soon they invented their first working system(系统).

 The system did work 4 , but it was very expensive and sometimes the system didn't work well. If the invention was to become 5 in stores, the problems had to be solved. Finally, Woodland solved 6 .

 The patent(专利权) for the bar code system was 7 for by Silver and Woodland in 1949, but  the patent was not given until 1952. Although this patent was given, the system was still not popular among 8 owners.

 In 1970, a businessman named Logicon Inc 9 the Universal Grocery Products Identification Code(食品工业统一码). Marsh Supemarket in Troy was the first store to 10 this bar code reading system. It has become very popular ever since, and now it's used in all types of stores all over the world.
