Yuan Jianqin is 59 years old this year. Since she retired (退休), she has1 most of her time walking around and making records of the Datong section of the Great Wall.

Yuan's strong love for protecting the Great Wall 2 her childhood.3 she was born in Datong, Shanxi Province, her family moved to Nankou town in Beijing. The town lies close 4 the Juyong Pass of the Great Wall.

"My school used to organize5 every Friday. I remember we climbed the Badaling section and sang the6 line ‘One who fails to reach the Great Wall is not a hero.' ," she says. This early life7 planted a seed(种子) in her mind.

Then she 8 to Datong and began to work at a local TV station. There she first started organizing outdoor activities on the Datong section of the Great Wall with a camera crew. Acting as a tour guide, she walked along the Great Wall, 9 its importance to visitors.

Yuan was 10 attracted (吸引) by the Datong section of the Great Wall. And the more she learned about its 11 , the more she loved it. She was also 12 to see that people failed to protect it. She felt a sense of duty (责任) to protect and promote(推广) this section, so that more people can know13 role in protecting the Great Wall.

For about ten years, in her free time, Yuan always held different outdoor 14 promoting the protection of the Great Wall in Datong. Through her hard work, many people have15 the importance of protecting the Datong section of the Great Wall.

The Monkey King is the main character from the Chinese story Journey to the West. He is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} wonderful that all the people love him. He is kind and he always helps weak people. The Monkey King has a magic stick. He uses it to fight bad people. He can make the stick big or small. He can sometimes make the stick so small {#blank#}2{#/blank#} he can put it in his ear. 

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} he sees bad people, he thinks of ways to fight them.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} he sometimes fails, he never gives up. He can turn himself into different animals or things. Many children think of the Monkey King as their hero {#blank#}5{#/blank#} he is really smart, strong and kind. People all over the world love the Monkey King. 

Last week I went to an art show. A painting caught my eyes. To my amazement(惊奇), it was painted by Steven, one of my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Then many things about him came into my mind. Steven was from a poor family. His parents{#blank#}2{#/blank#} not afford to buy him some basic things that he needed. Once our school provided gloves for poor children. I put Steven's name on the list. He was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when he received a pair. He loved to wear them and they were always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} than anybody else's. Steven had a gift(天赋) for painting and he could {#blank#}5{#/blank#} understand what I described in class. But he didn't have money to buy the paper for painting. So sometimes, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} him some. He practiced hard. And I often showed his paintings of the class. He was greatly {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

 One day just before the summer vacation, he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked. They were very good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on. Later he was admitted(录取) to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself. His hard work and strong mind led to his success.
