Fifteen-year-old Jaclyn Gomez noticed that many people around her were going through hard times. Her sister Amy didn't feel happy because she had no friends in her new school. Her friend Tony felt sad because he hadn't seen his parents for a long time. So Jaclyn Gomez wanted to bring delight and love to them.

"I thought of this idea because there were a lot of sadnesses in our life and I wanted to make people I love feel happy,"Jaclyn said. Later, she decided to invitc Tony to have dinner together."Amy and Tony often feel lonely, so I want to be with them. Tony came and we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Then we went for a walk and took many photos. Finally, we sang songs happily and loudly.It was really exciting!"she said.

Jaclyn Gomez's parents were proud of her and said she did the right thing. Jaclyn said she just wanted to make people happy. In the future, she will go on bringing happiness to others.

During the years of game making, there have been a number of games. Many old games have gone since modern games came out.

Teachers at a primary school asked their students to write articles about games they knew and were surprised by the results. Half of the 50 children in one of the classes wrote about online games. It is easy to see that traditional games like hide-and-seek and jump rope games are unfamiliar to many of today's schoolchildren. They like to play computer games, especially in the cities, with the rising popularity of TV, the Internet, video and online games.

An educationist said, "Traditional games used to be so popular, but over just a few years, kids have forgotten them. It's sad."

The games that many parents once played were generally outdoor activities which were enjoyed by students during breaks or after school. They usually needed several partners and just a little space.

Jump rope games, for example, have always been popular in many countries around the world. A kind of jump rope game, played with rubber bands which are connected together to make a long rope, is played in many countries.

Rubber band jumping was once very popular in primary schools. Girls loved playing this game. It can help kids practise their jumping skills and develop coordination (身体协调性), and also help them meet lots of friends.

It is common these days to see primary school students spending their breaks in the classroom. They are busy with their studies.

"When we were young, we played many different outdoor games, but today's children don't know what to play or how to play," a 40-year-old mother said. "They don't know what teamwork is."

Being worried by the situation, educational officers have tried to make some programmes to educate children on traditional games.

If you look at the top of your phone，you'll usually see a little symbol that says 3G or 4G. The "G" stands for the "generation（代）" of your mobile network. But the symbols will become things of the past after 5G networks fully arrive. Shanghai became the first city in China to start testing 5G networks.

5G could also be used to power the Internet of Things（IoT，物联网），that is，a large online network that connects all things and people. Fast internet speeds are the key to developing this technology. 

The IoT could be used in a lot of ways. For example，with IoT，your fridge could automatically（自动地） place an order online for eggs when it finds that there are no eggs left inside. 

During the National Day holiday, the sky above Shenzhen was lit up by impressive drone(无  人机) light shows. This"cyber fireworks" lit up the night, painting a lively picture of Shenzhen asa"City of Miracles, City of Innovation, City of Future". A total of 10,197DAMODA drones took to the sky at the same time, setting two Guinness World Records. So how does the drone light show work?

 Before a drone light show begins, drones are usually put on the ground one by one and it would take a lot of time to prepare a show with more than ten thousand drones. To shorten the time, the DAMODA drone company thought of a solution. The company put groups of drones into big boxes with specific OR codes on it. By putting the boxes into correct places, thousands of drones can be ready in a short time and they can go back to their"homes" by scanning the OR codes.

 In drone shows, each drone is programmed by a computer to follow its own flight direction, carefully avoiding the other drones. They communicate with neighbouring drones and use sensors(传感器) to keep a certain distance. The position and LED colours change throughout the performance to show different objects in the night sky.

Drone light shows are thought to be more environmentally friendly - - - and certainly cause less noise and light pollution - - - than fireworks shows, so lots of big events are turning to them instead of fireworks. Drones can also be reused again and again so they will probably be more popular in the future.

I am Frank. I am 13 years old. I have a good friend. His name is John and he is 14 years old. We were born( 出 生 ) in Jinhua. Now I live in Hangzhou. John still lives in our hometown(家乡). We live far away from each other, but we're still very good friends.

 We call each other very often and talk about our school life and studies. John is good at maths and science. But I am bad at maths. He always helps me with it. Also, he likes music and art. When he is free, he likes singing and drawing.

 We never forger(忘记) each other's birthdays. This year I give him a schoolbag as a gift, and he gives me a toy car.

 This weekend, I will go back to Jinhua. I will see cows, sheep, and ducks at my grandpa's farm. And of course, I will see my friend. We can play together, study together and read books together. Both he and I look forward to(期待) the weekend.
