Zhang Wei is 12 years old and he is in our school, too. His father, 4 Zhang, is our Chinese teacher. Zhang Wei likes black best. His schoolbag and pens are black. Look! 5 black pen on the desk is his. He has really good habits. He gets up at 7: 00 a. m. and he 6 to bed at 10: 00 p. m. 7 favorite food is salad. He likes 8 healthy food. We love sports. He often play s basketball 9 me after school. He is very nice to me. I can 10 ask him for help when I am in trouble (遇到麻烦). I think he is a very good friend.

Yang Zhen was an honest and clean（廉洁的） government officer during the Eastern Han Dynasty. 

One day, Yang met his old workmate Wang Mi on a trip. They had fun talking about their life experiences and good wishes for the nation. In the past, Wang's ability and political ideas were not accepted by the people around him. At that time, Yang saw Wang's talent and promoted（提拔）him. 

The chance helped Wang to be successful. Wang never forgot Yang's help and invited him to stay over for the night.

Tony loves his grandma. She often tells him stories about Santa Claus(圣诞老人). 

Today is December 24th. Tony's grandma takes him to Kevin's Store to shop. She gives Tony fifty dollars and says, " Take the money and buy something for someone who needs it. I' ll wait for you in the car. "

Tony thinks of everyone he knows: his family, friends and classmates. Then he thinks of Bobbie. Bobbie sits behind Tony. He doesn't have a warm coat. Tony knows it because Bobbie never goes out to play in winter. So Tony buys a blue coat for him. It looks really warm. 

In the evening, his grandma helps Tony put the coat in a Christmas box, and writes" To Bobbie, From Santa Claus" on it. " Santa helps people but never lets them know, " Tony's grandma says. They put the box in front of Bobbie's house and then go back home joyfully. 

That night Tony knows Santa Claus is real, and they are on his team. 

For his eleventh birthday, Tom was given a gift that would shape his life. On that day his father took him to the Children's Activity Centre and said he could choose any course（课程） that interested him. There was just one requirement (要求): Tom would have to promise（承诺） to study it for at least one year. 

Tom had many hobbies, but none kept his interest for more than a week or two. His mum once gave him a bag of stamps to encourage stamp collecting. That hobby lasted a week. Then his father got him some paints hoping that Tom's artistic side would shine through. Those paints were now under his bed, still unopened. This time Tom's parents would let him decide. 

Tom's eyes moved down the noticeboard that listed (列出) all the courses on offer. He stopped at "Photography". He liked the idea of taking beautiful pictures but the notice said that each student needed their own camera. Although Tom's family weren't poor, they weren't rich either, and a camera cost a lot of money. He continued looking. 

The next course to catch his eye was "Language Art". He didn't even know what that meant. His father explained that it taught people how to make public speeches（演讲）. Tom, a shy boy, could think of nothing worse. Then he saw "cooking", which sounded like something he'd like to do. It was inexpensive and convenient(方便的). It could be done alone and it was also creative. 

Based on（基于） Tom's hobby history, his dad had doubts (怀疑), but he agreed. Much to his parents' surprise, he practiced at home and made delicious meals for his family. Everyone looked forward to birthdays, when they could eat his cakes. Tom got great satisfaction from the pleasure his food brought to others. 

The months turned to years but his hobby never changed again. Now Tom is an adult and runs a successful restaurant. When customers（顾客） say they enjoy his meal, he still gets the same pleasure he did as a child, and remembers the special gift he received all those years ago. 

Now there are more than 180 museums in Chengdu. Last year, the city's museums held over 2, 700 learning activities. They were very popular with students. More than 1, 380, 000 children took part in them. 

On May 18 this year, Chengdu Museum and SPGS International School Chengdu held an activity together to Celebrate International Museum Day. More than 20 students of the school, who come from different countries, took part in it. 

During the activity, the students visited the exhibition (展览会) on the city's history and culture. They also learned more about the exhibits through special lessons. They even made imitations (仿制品) of the exhibits there. Maia Santana Fong, a girl from Cuba, was one of them. She sat quietly before a small rhino sculpture (犀牛雕塑) and carefully colored it with bright paint. It was an imitation of a stone rhino nearly 2, 000 years ago. 

"I find the activity very interesting. The museum trip helped me get a better feel for the rich Chinese culture, " said Maia Santana Fong. 

In the past, students usually learned about the exhibits through pictures and videos in classrooms. But now they can see them with their own eyes at the museum. It helps students study China's history and culture better. 

Ran Jing, director of the museum's social education department, said, "The activity was just like a bridge between the school and the museum, between Chinese people and people from other countries, by telling China's stories through the exhibition. "
