It shows just how much Chinese people {#blank#}1{#/blank#} growing vegetables. China has a lot of available land for planting things. For {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, Chinese people made a living through farming. The Book of Songs《诗经》, written 2,500 years ago, records many {#blank#}3{#/blank#} of vegetables.

Nowadays, even though some Chinese people no longer have a lot of land, they still grow vegetables {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they can. Xue Ling, 35, is one of them. Since 2010, she has been planting vegetables on the balcony (阳台) of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} apartment in Jinan, Shandong province. "It's the only way to keep my food, at least the vegetables, clean and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}," she said. Caroline Ma from Hong Kong grows vegetables {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a hobby. In 2020, Ma started farming on her rooftop and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} planting seeds that she collected during her travels. For Ma, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} is a meditative (冥想的) experience. "I am in my own little world and I can forget about my problems," she said.

It seems that planting vegetables brings {#blank#}10{#/blank#} than just food for Chinese people.

China's 15-year-old Chen Ye won the gold medal in the men's bowl final of skateboarding(滑板男子碗池决赛) at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on Sept. 25. 2023, 

Chen started getting into this sport at the age of 8. "I remember one day I went to a sports store, and by chance I saw a skateboard. I decided to give it a try, "Chen told China Daily. Although it was really challenging to stay on the board at first, Chen found it very interesting, compared with other hobbies. "Every time I learned some difficult skills, I felt the joy of making breakthroughs(突破), "said Chen. 

Gradually, Chen needed a better skate bowl for training. To meet the need, his father decided to make a skate bowl himself. "He gave up his job and worked on the bowl late into the night, "said Chen. "I'm really thankful for my father's support. "

As a junior high school student, Chen needed to find a balance between his schoolwork and skateboarding. His only "privilege(特权)" was being free from P. E. classes, during which he would do schoolwork because he needed to practice in his own skate bowl for hours after returning home. He trained in the morning, studied in the afternoon and sometimes had to have extra classes with the teachers' help. While getting ready for the competition this year, he trained for more hours at night to avoid interfering(干扰)with daytime classes. 

Looking at seven years of learning skating, Chen said this experience made him stronger and more determined to do something he truly loves.

 The Palace Museum, a widely visited cultural landmark in Beijing, announced new visiting rules on Thursday. These rules include a ban(禁令) on"interviews" and"commercial(商业的) photography". Without the museum' s permission, activities such as performances, on-site surveys and religious events are not allowed. The new rules will come into effect on June 30. Those who seriously break the rules will be listed as"uncivilized tourists".

 Fang Qiongqiong, a cultural sociologist in Shanghai, said these rules were made to prevent chaos(混乱) and improper behavior at historical sites like the Palace Muse um. She added that balancing the social and cultural role was a difficult task.

 Efforts to stop improper behavior at popular tourist spots in China have increased. The Palace Museum' s ban on commercial photo shoots is a noticeable change. A staff member said commercial photo shoots were often seen at the museum and sometimes put off the closing time.

 The museum's new rules, especially the ban on photography and filming, have become a hot topic on Sina Weibo. Netizens have different opinions. Some wonder if online streaming will also be banned. One netizen supports the new rule, saying the age of short videos is excessive and people can do crazy things in public places to attract attention.

 According to data, the Palace Museum welcomed 30,000 visitors on January 1, one of its busiest days. Tags like"Palace Museum' s autumn view" and"snowy Palace Museum" are popular on The Little Red Book. Chen remarked that the new ban might reduce the museum's exposure(曝光) on the Internet.

 The notice also said day tickets would no longer be sold at the museum entrance. All visitors must make reservations in advance with their real names.

Wonderful Park has finally reopened after nearly three months of repair! Since my sister Julia's birthday is coming, yesterday my parents took us to the park to have some fun. Julia was very excited as she had never been to Wonderful Park before.

 We arrived at the park early in the morning. While we were buying tickets at the ticket office, Julia was told that she could enjoy free admission during her birthday month. She could also get some pins and stickers for free. Julia was over the moon with her birthday presents. After buying our tickets, Julia wanted to ride the Ferris wheel. However, Mum suggested going to the King's Theatre first as a musical was about to begin.

 We were attracted by the delicious smell of popcorn while we were on the way to the King's Theatre. We bought two bags of chocolate popcorn and it tasted good. Before we entered the theatre, there were two cartoon characters standing at the entrance. They were lovable so Julia and I took some photos with them. The show began at ten forty-five. Though I am not a big fan of musicals, it was really great. All the performers sang and danced well. There was a huge round of applause when the show ended. Then, we went to the ride. It was the last stop and also the most enjoyable part of our trip.

 Here are the photos we took. The first one shows the chocolate popcorn. It was yummy! Next are the photos we took at the entrance of the King's Theatre. The cartoon characters are giving me and Julia a big hug! Here comes the photo that I like best. We took this after we rode on the Ferris wheel. Dad is putting his arm around Mum's shoulders. Julia is making a V sign with her fingers and I am making a silly face. It is a nice family photo. We all look forward to visiting the park again!

Last month, I caught a heavy cold. At first, I had a c{#blank#}1{#/blank#} . But I didn't go to see the doctor.  Two days later, I felt a{#blank#}2{#/blank#} all over. Finally, I went to see the doctor. The doctor said I was in bad health because of my bad living ways. Since t{#blank#}3{#/blank#} , I began doing exercise to form a good lifestyle.
