Colors influence our taste.

Do you know some colors can increase our appetite (食欲)? Orange is known to be able to increase appetite and is often used for food boxes or bags in fast-food restaurants. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} There are few natural foods in bright blue.

Colors influence our decisions.

The color of a product can be the reason for people to buy it. Colors can influence the feelings of people. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} So knowing the relationship between colors and feelings may come in handy (派上用场). The use of warm colors in the advertisements or products can make people have a feeling of trust towards the products. As a result, the sales rise.

Colors catch our attention.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} People become alert (警惕的) when seeing red warning signals. The color red is able to catch our attention easily. So many warning signals that require attention are usually red. Yellow and blue are also used in traffic lights.

Studies have shown that certain colors can have an influence on marks. A survey was done among some college students. They were divided into three groups. Numbers in red, green or black were shown to different groups before a test. The results showed that students who saw the red numbers before the test scored lower than those who saw the green or black numbers. Cold colors like blue seem to have a different influence. They are relaxing and increase creativity.

"Everybody loves bargain (减价品). " is a famous saying. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} In our daily life, one person's useless or broken object may be another person's bargain. That is why Americans don't throw things away. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} And they put up a "For Sale" sign to have a yard sale. 

Over the years, many people's houses have been filled useless objects. It seems wasteful to throw them away. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} The sellers put an ad (广告) in a newspaper first. It tells others when and where the yard sale will take place. Early in the morning, people take their things out of the house. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

Anything can be sold at a yard sale, such as old toys, tools, books, tables and chairs. Some people go to yard sales to find a special thing. However, some people don't sell their old things. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Later, they may hold their own yard sales to sell all the things they have bought. 

I wake up at six in the morning. Dad is putting the cows and sheep onto the trucks. Mom is putting my favorite milk food and some dried meat (肉干) in a bag. We will start driving to another past ure (牧场). We won't forget to take our yurt(毡房) with us!

 My family moves like this four times every year. It's a tradition (传统) of the Kazak people in Altay, Xinjiang. We have about 100 sheep and 40 cows. We move to different places as the seasons change. So, our animals can always have fresh grass to eat.

 Kazak people have been traveling this way for thousands of years. In the past, it took people about ten days to get from one place to another. If it rained or snowed, traveling was even harder. Luckily, now we have trucks. It only takes us five hours on the road! And as we move from place to place, our lives keep getting better and better.

In most parts of the world, many students help their schools make less pollution.  They join the Environment Club.  In the club, people work together to protect the environment. 

No-rubbish lunches.  How much do you throw after lunch? The Environment Club asks students to bring their lunches in bags that can be recycled.  The students try their best to make less rubbish. 

No-car days.  No-car days were started by 35 cities in France on 22nd September, 1998.  They were started to protect the environment.  By now, more than 1,000 cities around the world have had a no-car day.  In China, more and more people are taking part in the activity.  On a no-car day, nobody comes to school in a car—not the students and not the teachers! Cars give pollution to our air, so remember: Walk, jump, bike or run! Use your legs! It's lots of fun!

Turn off water! Do you know that some broken toilets could waste 20 to 40 ml of water an hour? In a year, that will fill a small river! In the Environment Club, the members mend those broken toilets. 

We have only one Earth.  Let's work hard together to make our world cleaner and more beautiful. 

The Qingming Festival is also called Tomb-Sweeping Day. It is one of the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(tradition) Chinese festivals. It {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(take) place in early April. Let's get {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(know) something about it. 

Qingming is a day for people to honour {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(they) family members who have passed away. People {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(usual) go to sweep tombs with beautiful flowers and delicious food. As spring comes, the days begin to get longer and the weather {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(get) warmer. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Qingming is also a great time for people to go out with friends or family. They can enjoy outdoor {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(activity ) like flying kites and hiking. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} that day, people usually eat a special kind of food—qingtuan. It tastes great. Chinese people have {#blank#}10{#/blank#}holiday for this festival. And it lasts for three days.
