My name is Peter. I'm from New York and I am in Qingdao with my parents and my sister Lily now. My sister is eleven and I am twelve. We are in the same school. We go to school from Monday to Friday. Our parents are busy working and they don't have time to drive us to school. So we often go to school by bus. Sometimes we also ride a bike to school. We have four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon. My favorite subject is math. Science is my sister's favorite.

    I like sports. I like playing soccer and basketball very much. But I don't have much time to play them on weekdays. I help my sister with her math on Mondays, go shopping with my mother on Wednesdays, and practice Chinese on Friday afternoons. My Chinese friends help me with my Chinese. But on Saturdays and Sundays I can play sports, watch TV and surf the Internet.

The little girl put her doll {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to the shelf（架子） and ran over to the computer game. After she talked to her father, she {#blank#}2{#/blank#}for the computer game and said to the shop assistant in a low voice.

So the boy got the computer game that he wanted for free（免费）—he was told it was a prize from the store. He smiled {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, although he felt it was so unbelievable.

The girl saw all this happen. She smiled happily, too.

When I walked out of the store to my car, I heard the father ask his daughter why she had done that. I would never {#blank#}4{#/blank#}their short talk. "Daddy, didn't Grandma want me to buy something that would {#blank#}5{#/blank#}me happy?"

He said, "Of course, she did."

"Well, I just did!" With that, the little girl started skipping(蹦跳) towards their car happily.

One day, a successful businessman was getting ready to go to his office in the morning. When he opened the door of his car, a stray dog(流浪狗) sleeping under his car suddenly came out and bit his leg! He was angry and threw a rock at the dog, but he was not able to hit it. 

Upon reaching his office, the businessman called a meeting of his managers. During the meeting, he took out his anger on his managers. His managers were upset about this, and took out their own anger on the employees(员工) working under them. Gradually, the businessman's anger spread through the whole company. '

The businessman was still angry after returning home. His wife opened the door. She asked him, "Why are you so late today?" The man shouted at his wife, "I didn't go to the office to play soccer, I went to work. So don't ask me such stupid questions!" His wife was upset about being shouted at for no reason. She turned her anger on their son, who was watching TV. "This is all you do. You have no interest in studying! Turn off the TV now!" She yelled. 

The son became upset as well. He walked out of his house and saw a dog passing by. He picked up a rock and threw it at the dog angrily. The dog ran away, barking in pain. 

Sometimes, when we are angry about something, we might take out our anger on others who are not to blame for our mood. This is not fair to others. We should learn to control our anger. 

In the Jin Dynasty ( 朝 代 ), there lived a man named Le Guang. He was very1 , and he always invited his friends to his home. One day, Le Guang visited one of his best friends who didn't come to see him for a long span of time.

His friend looked 2 all the time. Seeing this, Le Guang assumed( 猜 想 ) something might happen to his friend and he 3 what was wrong. "What's the matter?" Le Guang asked. "We were having fun in your home that day, but I4 felt sick when I saw that there was a little snake lying in my glass," his friend replied.

I once worked as a volunteer at a Children's Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (I) job was to help make the kids feel happy when they were in the hospital. Sounds interesting, right? {#blank#}2{#/blank#} some people can't understand why I did it.

 Let me show you. My first reason was to help create a better future for people. Look at the children in the hospital where I worked. They {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( feel) scared and lonely facing all the difficulties because their parents had other kids to care for. So, why not try {#blank#}4{#/blank#} ( help) as many people as possible?

Also, volunteering in Africa and helping people there let me see other {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (párt) of this planet. And volunteering at the hospital opened {#blank#}6{#/blank#} window for me to touch the unknown world. I met people from all over the world, each with their own ideas, experiences, and dreams. We got to share so much with each other {#blank#}7{#/blank#} ( happy).

I really felt close {#blank#}8{#/blank#} these people. We shared amazing memories and grew together. Now I {#blank#}9{#/blank#}( stay) in my country and working with the experiences and ideas. And together we can help {#blank#}10{#/blank#} ( many) people and create a better future for everyone!

There are many schools in Tophill City. Le Rosy is a very good one for students to study. Students study at school 1 days a week, from Monday to Friday. A student' s day starts at 7:00 am and finishes at 8:00 pm. Students have eight 2 a day. Each class is 40 minutes 3 . Then they have art classes and do sports from 4:20 pm to 6:00 pm. After dinner, students 4 to different kinds of clubs, like Music Club, Chess Club, Movie Club and English Club.

Le Rosy is 5 a good place to live in. Students' rooms are really 6 . Two students live in a room with a washroom and there is a TV and telephone in the room. But you can only watch TV 7 lunch,12:20 pm—1:00 pm. Each student gets the same bed sheet(床单) in color. Teachers come to get 8 twice(两次)a week for washing, usually on Tuesday afternoons and Friday mornings.

9 at Le Rosy are the same as the children at many schools. There are a lot of rules at school, too. If they break(违反) the rules, they can't 10 there.

On Friday afternoon, after school, all the children can go home with their parents and they come back to school on Sunday afternoon.
