No model has ever received more attention in China than the Xiaomi SU7, which was launched(上市) on Thursday night in Beijing.

It may sound unbelievable but the launch event attracted more than 40 million views on Xiaomi Auto's Weibo alone. Even guessing its price level had been a popular topic on China's social media platforms for weeks.

Xiaomi, one of the world's leading smartphone companies, began accepting orders in China through an app on Thursday night, after founder Lei Jun finished a more than two-hour presentation(发布会) on the SU7 car by stating the much-awaited price range: 215,900 yuan to 299,900 yuan.

Xiaomi said that it received 50,000 orders for the SU7 in the first 27 minutes after sales opened at 10 p.m. Beijing time. Lei mentioned that Beijing-based Xiaomi aims to become one of the world's top five car makers in the next 15 to 20 years. "It's hard to make a car, but it's cool to succeed," he said.

Lei said Xiaomi would lose money on the basic model at 215,900 yuan, a price that is lower than the Tesla(特斯拉) Model 3 in China. In his opinion, the SU7 car did better than the Tesla in most areas, but the type of the SU7 is not as good as the Porsche(保时捷) Taycan.

"There is still a long way to go for our cars to become a Porsche," he said, but if Xiaomi keeps working hard for another five to ten years. "One day we will finally catch up with and even surpass Porsche."

Most animals grow in a certain way, and genes control their growth. That is to say, even when they are small, it's easy to know what they will look like after they grow up. Plants are different. Their growth is controlled by genes too, but their final shape also depends on where they live. For example, a tree can be big and round if it grows up in an open space, but much taller and thinner if it grows in the woods with other trees all around. Plants are unable to move from one environment to another, so it is important that they are able to get used to the environment.

Sergio is from Cuba(古巴). He was excited to visit Chengdu last summer vacation because he is fond of pandas. Yeah, pandas are his favorite animals. Even his social media account(社交账户)is called Panda Latino!

Not surprisingly, Sergio took a trip to Chengdu and his first stop was the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding(成都大熊猫培育基地). There he took quite a few photos of pandas. He also learned a lot about their favorite food bamboo. 

In Chengdu, bamboo products are everywhere in people's everyday life, like bamboo tables, chairs and bags. The next stop of Sergio's trip was the Bamboo Art Village. There he learned how to make a bamboo panda, but it was not easy for him. 

Then the man got to the Chengdu Botanical Garden (植物园). There he saw many kinds of plants. A worker there showed him another good place to enjoy the beauty of plants, so he made his way to Xiling Snow Mountain. The mountain is home to over 2, 000 different plants. Wild pandas live in the mountain, too. What's more, it is a good place for people to do snow sports in winter. 

Sergio' s last stop was the International Horticulture Exhibition(世界园艺博览会) in Chengdu. There he enjoyed flowers from all over the world.
