Kanu and Timo are brothers. They like playing soccer very much. They often play it with their friends after school.

One day, Mom asks them to buy some eggs so she can make （做） dinner for the family. When the brothers make their way to the store, they see （看到） some of their friends playing soccer on a field （运动场）.

"Let's play soccer for a short time （一会儿） first, and then go to the store," Kanu says to Timo.

Timoagrees. Then the brothers go to the field and play with their friends. They have a lot of fun and lose track of time （忘记时间）. "Oh, no, we have to buy eggs now."

Kanu and Timo run to the store, buy some eggs and go home quickly （迅速地）. "Sorry, Mom. We are late," the brothers say. "We play soccer and lose track of time."

"Boys, it's OK, But next time, do important work （重要的工作） before （在……之前） playing, OK?" Mom says.

Hello, boys and girls! I'm Helen. The Student Art Festival starts in our middle school. Today is December 13th the first day. There is a photo show. Students take many photos. All of them are great. I love one of the photos best. It's a photo of a big family. Its name is "Happy Birthday, Grandpa!" I think this student must have a happy family, just like me.

In the next two weeks, we have other fun things—the talent show, Chinese painting show and the DIY show. I like the talent show very much. It is on the afternoon of December 19th. My classmate Tony and I will play the piano in the show. Our parents will come and watch the show. I hope we can do well.

Today, my classmates and I had a study tour to the City Science Museum. It took us {#blank#}1{#/blank#} hour to get there by bus. 

In the museum, we {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (see) many kinds of inventions such as robots, rocket models, some dinosaurs and so {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. What's more, we took part in many {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (meaning) activities. For example, I used a 3D {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (print) to make a small bridge. Tony, the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (good) friend of mine, took quite a few {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (photo) at the museum. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we were a bit tired, we thought the study tour was educational for us. We had learnt a lot of knowledge on science and technology outside the classroom. 

However, the lunch we had during the trip didn't taste good at all. That's why I suggest that students should bring their own food by {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (them) on next visit. This way, they can eat more {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (enjoy) meals and also keep their energy up throughout the learning adventure. 

Laura is p{#blank#}1{#/blank#} of owning a pair of jelly shoes but she hates the jellyfish. When her brother tells her the shoes are made of jellyfish, she throws her jelly shoes away. However, she changes her mind about the shoes when she sees some s{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, rainbow- like jellyfish babies. She helps to save the jellyfi sh on the sand and she doesn't hate them any more. Instead they look beautiful to her and she likes them. She doesn't get back her shoes, however, even though her brother admits he m{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the story all up. In the end, the shoes are back in the deep sea where she thinks they b{#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

Debbie and Simon looked up when an old lady got into their office. The lady looked at them quickly, and then walked over to Debbie. Debbie greeted(接待) her {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (礼貌地). 

Simon was very sad and took some papers over to the fax machine. Chris, one of the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(职员), was standing there. " What's up，Simon? You look 5{#blank#}3{#/blank#}（确切地）unhappy. " "Customers in all parts of the world always like Debbie better than me. Ⅰ{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (很少)have them. I can't understand it. "

"I can. Whether or not you can do this well depends on the way you communicate. Communicating is not just about speaking. Body language is important, too. "

"Body language?"

"I mean your gestures(姿势)and the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (表情)on your face. Your look communicates things as well as your words. " The way you look at people doesn't give them a good impression (印象), Simon. You often rest your head on your hand. You look shy and you aren't {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (积极的). But look at Debbie. She holds her head up. She always smiles and {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(招待)them with warmth and kindness. That's why people {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (欣赏) her and go to her for help, and not you. "After that, Simon tried to smile at people. This seemed to work. Minutes later, a beautiful girl with a nice  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(帽子)got into the office. She looked at Debbie and then Simon. Without thinking twice, she went to Sim on and gave him a big smile. A few moments later, she left, still smiling. 

Chris came over at once and said, " Well done, Simon. I'm so {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (骄傲的)of you. You've already made a good impression on her. "

"That was my sister, " said Simon. " She came to remind me that tomorrow is her birthday. "

 There were two deer(鹿) living by a river. Over the river there 1 a very narrow bridge.

 One day, one of them wanted to cross this bridge to 2 side of the river. Just in the middle of the bridge, he met the other deer. The bridge was not 3 for them to pass at the same time."Go back," said one deer to the other. "There is not enough room for both of 4 ." The other deer said, "Why should I go back? Better you go back."

"You must go back," said the first deer, "because I am 5 than you." The second deer said,"I don't think so. You are not stronger than me."

"We 6 who is stronger soon," said the first deer and he showed his horns(角) to let the second deer know 7 he was ready to fight.

"Stop!" said the second deer. "If we fight, we shall both fall into the river and 8 dead. I have a good idea. I shall lie down and you9 walk over me." Then he10 down on the bridge and the first deer walked carefully over him.
