On social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu, we're seeing more posts with the tag lines "I will listen" and "listen to me." A puzzled person may have trouble deciding on where to go on a vacation, which restaurant offers the best seafood or whether Huawei's Mate 60 is a better buy than the iPhone 15. Write a post titled "I will listen" and it's likely that a warm-hearted person will quickly reply with a suggestion.

Now, the problem is, should you follow the advice of a complete stranger? Is his or her advice true or is it just a personal opinion? Opinions, after all, are not facts－they are just personal judgments. Still, it's important to take different voices into consideration.

Whenever I buy something online, I always read the comments ( 评 论 ) posted by the last customers. If there are too many negative comments, I probably won't consider buying it. On the other hand, if all of the comments are unusually positive, my doubtful brain takes over and I think the seller may be using comments to increase the sale of the product.

Apart from online business posts, other "listen-to-me" posts cause a more complex problem. In these posts, people are often giving advice on traps ( 陷 阱 ) and problems that could trouble other people. Personal problems such as relationships, job choices and even mental health are among the most common topics. Their suggestions may be truthful, but they don't necessarily fit in with the special situation of others.

For these big "topics", it's better to talk to friends, families, teachers and professional experts. Those people who are close to you know and care about you and will stay by your side, unlike an online poster you may never hear from again.

The Internet is like a great "shop" for getting and exchanging information. But, as with any shop, let the buyer be more careful.

This is a street crossing. There are red and green lights at each corner. Drivers must watch the lights carefully. When there is a green light, the cars may go. When there is a red light, the cars must stop. They must wait until the red light changes to green. Then they can go on. 

Sometimes the cars want to make a right turn or a left turn. They can make a right turn when the light is green or red. But they must wait until the green light is shining if they want to turn left.

 It is possible that in 50 years the only tigers in the world will be in zoos. One hundred years ago, there were maybe 100,000 tigers in the world. Today scientists are not sure how many are left, as it is difficult to count them. There are maybe only between 5,000 and 7,000 tigers in the world.

 People only find tigers in Asia and Africa. They have already disappeared from many countries. There are no longer any Caspian tigers. They died out many years ago. The living condition of tigers in other parts of Asia is also serious. There are perhaps only 100 Chinese tigers left. In southwestern Russia, the number of tigers is a little higher. There are about 450 tigers left. On some islands in Sumatra(苏门答腊) with many thick forests, there are about 500 tigers. If this situation continues, they might disappear completely.

 Why are there fewer and fewer tigers? The first reason is that tigers are meat-eaters. They need a lot of land to find enough food. Also they live in forests and people cut down many trees. Many years ago, tiger shooting was a sport, especially in India. Local people sometimes kill tigers because they kill their cows. Another reason is that Chinese people use all parts of the dead tigers for traditional Chinese medicine, including the bones(骨头) and so on. People think this medicine will make them live longer.

JIUQUAN SATELLITE LAUNCH CENTER, China sends off its youngest-ever team for its space station on Thursday. It is part of the country's plan to put astronauts on the moon before 2030.

 The China Manned Space Agency said the average (平均的) age of the three-member team is the youngest since the launch of the space station. Their average age is 38, state media China Daily said. The three astronaut s are Tang Hongbo, Tang Shengjie and Jiang Xinlin. They will replace a team that has been on the station for six months. The new team will perform experiments in space medicine, space technology and other areas during their stay. And they will help to place and do possible repairs to equipment(设备) inside and outside the station.

 In 2022, the Chinese government built its own space station after it was not permitted to join the US led International Space Station. The Americans worried that the Chinese space program was under the control of the People's Liberation Army.

 China's first manned space mission(任务) in 2003 made it the third country after the former Soviet Union and the US to put a person into space using its own resources. This is an important step in exploring space, which makes all Chinese people proud.

 Although the American space program is believed to be far ahead of China at this time, China has made some important steps. They include bringing back samples (样本) from the moon's surface for the first time and landing a vehicle(运载工具) on the less explored far side of the moon. The US, meanwhile, aims to put astronauts back on the moon's surface by the end of2025.

 Beyond their moon exploration programs, the two countries have achieved significant milestones in space exploration by independently (独立地) landing vehicles on the surface of Mars. China now plans to follow the US in landing a spacecraft on an asteroid(小行星). It shows China's determination to become a leader in this competitive field. All Chinese people are full of expectations for the future development of exploring the universe.
