I wrote my first note to my mother and it said, "Hi, Mom! Have a nice day! 1, Marie!" I was twelve when I wrote it, and I 2 the note into her change purse (零钱包). My mother worked 3 a cleaner in a clothing factory. I knew that when she bought meals in the dining hall, she had to 4 changes in her purse. I didn't know that she always kept that note, and carried 5 with her.

    After that, I 6 folded the small piece of paper into my mother's change purse, she and I left each other secret notes. My mother usually hid her notes in the fridge, under a lamp 7 beside the TV set. I even found one hidden in my shoe. Gradually, I understood 8 notes became the records of our days, ideas and wishes. But to my mother and me, they were a life-long communication with each other that 9 else shared.

    On October 20, 2018, my mother 10 after an illness. I stood near her bed, holding her hand. I didn't cry on that day when my mom passed away (去世). A week 11, I even didn't cry. I was so thankful 12 she no longer had aches and pains.

    Recently, I13a note that my mom left me. It was hidden in the pages of my favorite childhood book for years. It14"Dear Marie, I love you always. Miss you a lot. Don't forget me. Be15! Love, Mom" That day, I cried.

    It is Sunday morning. Sam wants to visit his friend. On his way to his friend's home. He is very tired. So he stops his car and wants to take a nap(打盹).

    A man walks to Sam´s car and knocks(敲)on the window. "Excuse me. sir. "He asks." What time is it now?"

    Sam doesn't have a watch. He looks at the clock of his car and says. ”8:15”.  The man says," Thanks."

    After a short time, another man knocks on his window. "Sorry, sir. But do you have the time?""8:25". Sam say says and he is a little angry(生气的).  The man thanks him, too.

    "I really want to take a nap." Sam thinks. Then he takes out a pen and writes" I don't know the time." on the paper. And he posts(张贴)it on the window.  But soon another man sees it and knocks on the window. "Sir. sir? It's 8:45 now. "

    It is Sunday afternoon. Mary goes shopping with her mother. Her mother wants to buy some food for supper. Mary wants to buy a T-shirt and some school things. They come to a shop.

     "What does your shop sell?" Mary asks. "A lot of things," the girl in the shop says. "You can buy food, drinks, clothes and school things in our shop."

    Mary and her mother go into the shop. There are many people in the shop. Mary finds a nice white T-shirt.

    "How much is the T-shirt?" Mary asks the girl in the shop.

    "It's eighty yuan."

    "That's too dear. Do you have a cheap one?"

    "What about the green one? It looks nice. And it's only thirty yuan."

    "OK, thanks a lot." "You are welcome."

    After that, Mary buys some school things too. Her mother buys a lot of food, like bread, cakes, meat and fish. They get home very late.

Stephen Hawking was probably the world's most famous scientist after Albert Einstein. He was an expert on black holes. He put his whole life into digging into the beginning and the end of the universe.

"My goal is simple," Hawking once said. "It is to completely understand the universe, why it is as it is and why it is there at Hawking received many awards and prizes for his work over the years. This includes winning the Albert Einstein Award. It is the highest achievement in theoretical physics (理论物理)• But Hawking is achitvements are even greater if you think of his disability.

Hawking had a bad illness that stopped him from moving or talking. Later he got a wheelchair with a computer by his side. He moved two fingers to control the computer's mouse. He chose his words from the screen, which were then spoken by a voice synthesizer (合成器). This helped him communicate better.

"I have had the disease for most of my life, and I even have had no way to communicate except by simple eye movements since 2011?^" Hawking once said. "Yet it has not stopped me from being successful at my work."

Hawking tried to make science more popular with people. In 1988 he wrote A Brief History of Time, sharing his understanding of the universe with other people. The book was a best-seller for a long time. So far, it has sold more than 10 million copies around the world. Hawking also wrote a children's book— Unlocking the Universe with his daughter. He said the book would be "a bit like Harry Potter" but without the magic.

Hawking liked pop culture. He sang in rock songs. He even played roles in popular TV plays including StarTrek{ 1992), The Simpsons(1999) and The Big Bang Theory(2012). He played himself in all these shows and was proud of making the audience laugh.

It's 2035. There are three robots in my family—Gina, Greg and Tom. I like them a lot. 

Gina is my 1 good helper. She is about forty cm tall. Her eyes are two cameras and her feet2 two wheels (轮子). She does some cleaning at home.3 house is ocean because of her. 

Greg is a smart robot. He can help us 4 information. What's more, he can speak Chinese and English5 . Dad loves him. Every morning, Greg 6 hello to my dad. Dad asks him, "What's the weather like today, Greg?" Greg will connect to the Internet (连接网络) and find the weather report soon. This morning, Greg tells Dad, "It will rain today, Mr. Black. Please bring an umbrella with you." Does Dad take 7 umbrella? Yes, of course. 

What about 8 robot? What does Tom do in my family? He is not tall9 short. He plays with me. Tom is good at10 chess. He always wins. He can also dance and play ping-pong with me With his help, I become smart and strong.
