Li Yan is my good friend. She is a beautifu（l  漂亮的）girl. Who's that? The boy in black? It's

Jim. He is an English boy. He is very cool( 酷 ). He is my friend, too. We are all in the same school. I like Jim and Li Yan.

Last weekend my father, my mother, my sister and I went to summer camp. We went to Mountain Ermei. It was a very sunny but windy day. We got to the foot of the mountain by bus. In the middle of the mountain there was a clean river. I washed my face with the water. It was a little warm. There were some fishes in the river, too. In the mountain there were many beautiful flowers. At noon, lots of people got together, and they were very friendly. We had lunch in the mountain. The food was very nice, and we liked it very much. After lunch, we went on our trip. Finally we got to the top of the mountain. From there we could see everything below because of the fine weather. I felt like I was flying in the sky. We had a wonderful time. 

I'll never forget the day when I went on a hot- air balloon trip. It was a birthday gift from my aunt. 

I had to 1 early, but it wasn't a problem. I couldn't sleep because I was so excited. 

My parents and my aunt came to 2 . They waved (挥手) as I got into the balloon. There were five other people and the pilot (飞行员) in it. When we took off, it was quite 3 and I couldn't hear anything. Then it became much quieter, I can't describe the 4 . It felt like a dream. The sky was blue and clear. I could see all the people below us. They were getting smaller and smaller 5 we got higher and higher.

Zhang Li, a 12-year-old boy, from Sichuan, was lazy before. He hardly ever did any housework. But now, things have changed. Washing dishes, cooking and making the bed... all of these have become important parts of his daily life.

This big change is the result of a new program at his school. Starting from last term, his school asked all the students to do housework. It wanted to help students to improve their life skills.

At the beginning of each month, every student gets a list of housework to do every weekend. Their parents help keep an eye on their performance. They can do housework, such as washing cups and cooking food. On holidays like Mother's Day, students should prepare gifts for their mothers.

Wang Dan, 13, has learned several life skills through the program. "I was afraid of fire," she said. But she tried to overcome her fear(害怕) and finish her cooking tasks. At the same time, she also learned how tired her mother is after doing housework every day. On Mother's Day, she made a cake for her mother to show her thanks. "I've begun to know better about my parents and want to help them more." she said.

Other schools in Sichuan are also developing (发展) programs to teach their students life skills. On May 2, another middle school held a life skill competition. Students had to finish many tasks, such as cooking and washing clothes. They showed their skills and proved that they are growing up.

Lily is a little girl at school. She likes playing 1 very much. Her classmates laugh at (嘲笑) her because they think it is not for girls. 2 Lily doesn't think so. And she 3 to be a great soccer star.

 Do you know the Silver Flower Silk(银丝花)? It's a1 handmade made work of art which has been passed down for more than 1700 years. The Silver Flower Silk Craft(工艺) is divided into the north style and the south style. Beijing stands for the north style,2 Chengdu stands for the south style. The south style, which still keeps the natural color of silver, was a very popular3 among collectors after the 20th century.

 Dao An is the only inheritor(传承人) who has 4 the full set of the Silver Flower Silk Craft. For more than 40 years, she has made efforts to 5 Chinese culture at home and abroad.
