 How are you? It's in the middle of December and I am getting ready for Christmas here. I'd like to tell you about Christmas in the UK.

 Christmas is on 25th December. We don't go to school or work on that day. On Christmas Eve children put up big socks. Do you know why we do this? We wait for Father Christmas with presents. He is a fat man with white beard(胡子). We think he comes and puts presents in socks every year.

 The next day, we get up early and open our presents. Then we have a big dinner with our family. We put a Christmas tree in our house and decorate (装饰) it with lights and presents. In the afternoon, we watch TV or play games at home.
