Some people live to climb the highest mountains. Some people live only dreaming about it while others live to avoid ever climbing at all. But one thing is certain — all people meet mountains in their life. 

When I was a little girl, my family moved to a tiny town at the bottom of a big mountain. One day after school, while exploring the green woods of this amazing mountain, I almost fell on a set of stairs. What could these steps lead to? Curiosity got the best of me as I knew it would be starting to get dark soon. I started climbing up those strangely mysterious (神秘的) steps. I climbed and climbed. There was nothing but just green bushes and these steps. I had to reach the top. But it was now getting real dark. If I kept going I might not be able to see my way back. My mom would be worried sick if I didn't come home soon. So I ran back home almost in the dark while trying not to get too scared.

Anxiously I went to bed dreaming about what I would find at the top of this magical mountain. Could there be a castle up there? Maybe I would find a monster (怪物) . Maybe I was taking the risk of never coming back home. Or, maybe all I would find was absolutely nothing! But something inside me was going to climb that mountain at all cost. I could hardly wait to try this adventure again. 

Now we live in a world surrounded by the "can't do" attitudes. We all fall down. We all have doubts and regrets. Still we must climb and dream about what's at the top of our mountain. Monsters may appear or the night will fall. But never ever give up on your dream! Never let anyone tell you, "You can't." Dream big and climb high!

Pooja Rai was a young architecture student in 2014 when she went with a friend to give food to a local orphanage. She was surprised at what she saw.

Kids were playing with anything they could get their hands on. One group was rolling around a broken metal pipe. Two boys were trying to play badminton, using old shoes as rackets. "Play shouldn't just be part of a rich kid's lifestyle. All kids have a right to enjoy their childhoods." Rai says.

Over the next few weeks, she talked with friends about collecting money for a playground. And that's when she thought of old tires. Around 100 million tires are thrown away in India every year. Could they reuse them as playground materials and help the environment, too?

That idea became a reality in 2015, using old tires—all cleaned, carefully looked over to make sure they are safe to use, and painted in bright colors. The following year, she created Anthill Creations, which has built 275 playgrounds across India —celebrating the power of play in public spaces. orphanages, and schools.

"Our work always begins with talks with kids about what they want from this space." says Rai. Sometimes it can take a few hours, or a few visits, until children are ready to open up. She also draws on her experience as an architect. "I found that spaces are powerful in shaping people's behavior." she says.

Most of the play spaces Rai designs feature large tire sculptures of cars, buildings, or animals, paired with more classic elements of swings and jungle gyms.

In one girl's school in Bengaluru, the children wanted their play space to be shaped into a boxing ring, with tires doubling up as punching bags. "Their teacher was unsure about it." Rai remembers. "But the girls said they didn't want people to see them as weak. They wanted to practice self-defense and grow stronger." In December 2019, this playground became a reality.

Richard Browning has been attracted by flight ever since his father took him into the hills to fly gliders (滑翔机). He has certainly been an adventurer. Richard took it upon himself to develop his own jet suit and began to experiment with some of his friends. He made quick progress. In 2017, he felt confident enough to start a company called Gravity Industries that could make jet suits. It took 15 months to develop the very first one. 

Five very small jet engines are built into the jet suit. These are powered by kerosene (煤油). Two engines are located on the pilot's arms and one is placed on the back. Each engine weighs less than two kilos and can produce22 kilos of thrust(推力). 

The pilot is able to control the direction and speed of the flight. He does this by small movements of the arms which require hours of practice. One wrong move and you could end up falling to the ground. 

Richard is not only in charge of his company; he is also the chief test pilot. He has spent hours and hours perfecting the correct moves to create a perfect flight. He was able to enter the Guinness Book of World Records in 2017 when he became the fastest man in a jet suit and flew at 51 kilometres per hour. Since then, he has presented his jet suit at 60 events in 20 different countries around the world. More recently, he flew alongside Brighton Pier on the south coast of England at 136 kilometres per hour! 

The objective of Richard's company has been to build a suit which members of the public can buy. The first went on sale in a department store in 2018 for f 340, 000. If you want to jet around your own hometown, it's time to start saving—or to work for Richard Browning.

On a steamy July day in Bayonet Point, Florida, Gene Work and his brother-in-law, Mark Rouco, were resodding（重新铺草皮）Gene's yard.

The lawn had grown 1  in the heat, and the Works had been threatened to accept a huge fine if the situation wasn't remedied. The new sod was sitting in the driveway, but the job was slow-going.

Gene, then 40, wasn't feeling right. He went inside to take a break and 2  on the couch, clutching his chest. His wife, Melissa Work, called 911 quickly. Even though he was 3  down death, Gene had one thing on his mind: that 4 .

If the sod wasn't 5  that day, it would die. "While he was having his heart attack, literally in and out of consciousness, he kept 6  me to have it put down because he didn't want it to go to waste," Melissa wrote in a Facebook post.

Soon Pasco County Fire Rescue arrived and took Gene and Melissa to the hospital, leaving Rouco behind to 7  the yard. Within an hour, he had managed to remove the old grass. He was about to lay the new sod, which he 8  would take him well into the night, 9  two emergency vehicles appeared. Seven men—the same ones who had treated his brother—10 . Gene had told them how 11  he'd wanted to get the sod down, so they had returned to help. The job was done in under two hours. Meanwhile, Gene had surgery to insert stents（支架）in his heart, 12  a potentially deadly blockage.

He's home now, fully recovered—and enjoying his beautiful lawn. The Works are still 13  that those EMTs went above and beyond their job 14 . "These men," Melissa told tampabay.com, "saved Gene's life, and then came back to save his grass. That's just so 15 ."

The university I attend has about 3500 students. One early afternoon, I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (walk) around the campus when I found a female student sitting on the walkway with tears on her face. Everyone just walked by her, so I decided to stop {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (give) her a hand. I dropped my books and sat down beside her. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} turned out that she injured her ankle (脚踝) and was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (able) to walk. So I told her that I would sit with her {#blank#}5{#/blank#} she was ready to get up. It only took a few minutes for her to calm down. Then I took her {#blank#}6{#/blank#}the hand and got her to the nearest hospital.

She thanked me so much for just stopping! Since then, when we run into each other {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (occasional) on campus, she would smile and thank me again. And we have become good friends now. I am amazed that just my sitting there, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (offer) support and comfort to a total {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(strange) would affect her so greatly. She said she was grateful for what I had done, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} made her feel that she was not alone in the world.

One day as I drove toward my home in a small town, I passed the local bus station. Several passengers had already 1 a bus and were making their way to parked cars or setting off on foot to their various destinations.

I 2 as a group of people crossed the road in front of me. As I watched, I noticed an old lady struggling with a too large suitcase.Witnessing this lady and remembering similar 3 I had experienced in the past when traveling, I called out through the open passenger window, "Excuse me. Would you like a 4 ?" She stopped without answering. I said. "If you want to tell me where you are going, I'll drop you off. That suitcase looks 5 heavy." "Well, all right," she answered. When we got to her 6 , I helped her down with the suitcase. Suddenly, she said, "God bless you, lady. No one has ever given me a(n) 7 like that before. I hope someone will do a good turn for you one day." 

Shortly after 8 the suitcase lady, I decided to spend a day in the mountains. After driving my truck for nearly two hours, I found it had 9 something in the heavy bush, breaking down. Then in the 10 came the roar of motorbikes. I could see a string of bikes coming in my direction. As they drew nearer, I heard a(n) 11 voice say,"Do you need help, ma'am?". I almost sighed with 12 . The bikers formed a group around the truck. A couple of them got underneath it to check.

The whole adventure ended with my truck and me being 13 back to safety. I shall never forget the kindness of the motorcycle riders who 14 . Some people will say it was all just a happy 15 , but personally I like to believe the old proverb, "What goes around, comes around."
