I am Frank. In our western countries, there are four seasons or 365 days in a year. Usually, we sleep 8 hours every day. So we have 122 days for sleeping. Then our study or work time is only 243 days left. But there are 52 weekends in a year. Each weekend is two days. We lose another 104 days a year for work. It takes up about one hour to have breakfast and supper. This comes to 15 days over a year. Four free hours each evening takes up 61 days. But we can't work all the time, so we need holidays. We have to remember that we get 2 days' holiday at Easter, 3 at Christmas and 1at the New Year. There are also 4 Bank holidays. Take those 10 days away and we have 32 days for work. But then we have one and a half hours' lunch every day, and half an hour's coffee break. That comes to 30 days a year. This means that we have only a few days left for study or work every year. What about you in China?

In order to know a foreign language thoroughly（彻底地）, four things are necessary. Firstly, we must be able to understand the language when we hear it. Secondly, we must be able to speak it by ourselves correctly, with confidence and without hesitation（犹豫）. Thirdly, we must be able to read the language. Fourthly, we must be able to make up sentences that are grammatically correct. We must know how to put sentences into paragraphs in order to write a good letter or article. 

There is no easy way to succeed in learning a foreign language. A good memory（记忆力）is of much help, but it is not enough to simply remember rules from a grammar book. It is no much use learning long words and their meanings by heart. 

We must learn not only words but also the use of them in sentences. We must learn by using the language. "Learn through using" is a good piece of advice for people to study a new language. Practice is very important. We must practice speaking and writing the language whenever we can. 

NASA has been trying hard to explore the space. The recent developments include, the launch* of the James Webb Space Telescope, the successful asteroid* hit by the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spaceship, and the launch of the most powerful rocket ever built for the Artemis mission. The James Webb Space Telesco pe is the biggest and most powerful telescope ever built. It can see through dust in the universe and find new stars hiding inside those clouds. Even more exciting, it will try to find signs of Life on planets far away!

The telescope has been working for more than a year and has caught some amazing images and data. One example is an image of a huge star called Wolf- Rayet 124, which weighs about 10 times heavier than our sun, reported the Space website.

DART spaceship is another breakthrough for NASA. It will be used to keep Earth safe from asteroids. In September 2022, NASA tested it by hitting an asteroid called Dimorphos. The goal was to change its orbit*

Finally, we have the Mega Moon Rocket! This rocket is the most powerful one ever made and it's being used to help us get closer to Mars. NASA successfully launched it on Nov 16, 2022, and it had a 26- day trip around the moon. This is the first step of NASA's Artemis mission, which plans to set up a base on the moon for people to use in the future.

Despite the program's high cost, NASA believes that the Artemis project is worth it as it will be a key next step in the story of human exploration. As NASA administrator Bill Nelson told the BBC," This time we' re going to learn how to live in that bad environment for long periods of time all with the purpose of one day going to Mars."

The human brain is very small and light（only two percent of our total body weight），but it needs about 20% of the oxygen（氧气） that our body takes in. We can't think well if our brain isn't getting enough oxygen，so always make sure there is enough oxygen in the air when you need to learn or remember something! 

No one can remember everything，but everyone can learn how to improve their memory. Here are some tips- none of them can make your memory 100% perfect，but all of them are useful：

● When you want to remember something，tell a friend about it. This way the new information becomes more memorable（可记住的）. Later on，think about the conversation with your friend. It will remind you of the information you wanted to remember. 

● Don't over-train your brain. When you've remembered a list of new vocabulary，stop studying. It's better to study a lot of material for a small amount of time than a small amount of material for a lot of time! 

● Our memory works well when we are asleep. If you want to remember something，go to bed and go to sleep at once after learning it. 

● If you have to remember something big，break it down into smaller pieces. It's easier to remember198756430387 if you break it into four smaller bits：198-756-430-387. 

● If you want to remember a piece of information，and you can't，don't get angry. Relax and tell yourself，"If it's important，I will remember it later. "
