There are many ways to manage (管理) time. A clock plays an important role in time management. It can help us make our goals (目标) come true. We can use it in many parts of our life and it helps us say no to wasting time. The following ways can help us get started.

Learn about the meaning of 30 seconds. For example, if your house is very dirty, think about this. Failing to (未能做) hang up a coat and keep a desk or room tidy happens when we leave out (忽略) the quick housework. We can play a game to see if we can build a clean and comfortable environment in 30 seconds.

If possible, exercise at a certain time. For example, exercise at 7:00 a.m. and have breakfast at 8:00 a.m. every day. Also, we can ride a bike, run slowly or go for a quick 15-minute walk twice a day. The 15 minutes seems like a short time, but if we keep at it, it can make a difference to our health.

Go to bed and wake up on time. This is the most important way and it makes us full of energy (能量). It also makes us healthy and benefits our study and work.

Pairing every goal in life with a clock makes it easier to come true. We should learn to manage time and make full use of every minute.

My day began when I saw my six-year-old son Jonathan doing something in the garden by my azalea bush(杜鹃花丛). By the time I got out, I found he had broken it! It was my favorite!

"Can I take this to school?" he asked, smiling. Though a bit 1 , I nodded in agreement. Then I turned back to the broken bush and touched it as if to say silently, "I'm sorry." Later I pruned(修剪) it 2 .

The rest of the day, I was busy doing endless housework. Time had passed by fast before I realized it was already 3:00. Leaving the clothes in the washing machine, I hurriedly got to school to pick up Jonathan. When I got there, the teacher told me she wanted to talk about Jonathan.

"What now?" I thought.

I had prepared myself for the worst, 3 the teacher's words greatly surprised me. "Did you know Jonathan brought 4 to school today?" she asked. I nodded, thinking about my favorite bush. "See that little girl? How happy she is now!" the teacher continued. I saw a 5 child busily drawing a picture with crayons(蜡笔). I nodded again.

"Well, her parents are separated and she has been 6 these days. I did all I could to comfort her, but nothing 7 . This morning I watched your son walk over to her with some pretty pink flowers and say, "This is for you."

I felt my heart full of pride for what my son had done. Holding Jonathan's hand, I said, "Thank you! You've 8 my day.''

I was warmed by the 9 Jonathan showed to the little girl, and I made up my mind to pass it on. Later that evening when my husband came back home from a tiring workday, I 10 some pink azaleas and handed them to him. "This is for you," I said.

I'm from Shanghai and my English name is Jessie. This term is from September to January. I have many subjects this term. They are math, Chinese, English, history, computer, music, geography, science, art and P. E. My favorite subjects are P. E. and English. I can talk(谈话) with some students in English now. In the P. E. lesson, I can do many sports. And they are really interesting. I can play soccer and basketball well. And my favorite sport is soccer. I also like art class and I feel relaxed in it. I can draw(画) fruit, clothes, desks and many fun things in the art class. Our art teacher is very nice and we all like her. She always takes us out(出去) to draw things.

Vacation is coming to an end. How many of you have burn    the    midnight    oil to finish your homework over the last few days? What about during the school year- when you get home from school, do you start working on your homework right away?

It can be hard to be this responsible. A lot of people usually put off difficult or annoying tasks until they have to be done. They' re called procrastinators.

Procrastination is a common problem for many people. In fact, sometimes it just feels easier to wait until the last minute to do certain things. However, this is not a good thing, as you have to work hard er and faster if you wait until there is little time left. This means your work will probably be of less quality (质量).

I myself am a bit of a procrastinator. But most of the time, I try to finish my work earlier rather than later. It just makes more sense - if I finish my work now, I'll have more time to relax or work on other projects later. It can be hard to motivate (激励) myself to get started sometimes. But once I do, the work gets done quickly and with little stress.

Everyone procrastinates from time to time. It's a natural thing to do. You don't have to beat yourself up over it - after all, we still need time to relax and take a break from our busy lives. Just make sure you still get your homework done on time!
