Social media is a platform where people from all over the world can connect and interact with each other. It has become one of the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (big) platforms ever in history and has changed so many things in our life. Students are also using social media in a number of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (way).

Social media provides a platform for students {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (learn) and communicate. It makes students' life more convenient {#blank#}4{#/blank#} colorful. Social learning has been involved in almost all the e-learning websites. Students can also take advantage of live video that is a part {#blank#}5{#/blank#} so many social networking sites (社交网站) to take classes.

Social media also offers students {#blank#}6{#/blank#} tool to express themselves.

Many students are scared of the thought of what {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (happen) if they express themselves. And social media {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (help)  them to share their thoughts without any fear, making it more likely for them to come out of the box and explore their talents. When students {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (active) take part in social media, they may come to a global level. For instance, they can even learn about the different courses presented by universities from all around the world, which is beneficial for {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (they) to improve their knowledge of foreign cultures.

①Plants are more than just pretty to look at. They give us fruits, vegetables and food we eat. Some plants even provide materials for medicine or building things. But do you know that plants can do something even more amazing? They can make our homes, schools and workplaces much healthier. We spend a large part of our day indoors. Unluckily, the air inside buildings can often be full of a chemicals (化学物质) from many things around us. This poor air quality (质量) can make us feel sick, cause eye problems, and even make it hard for us to breathe (呼吸). When the air inside buildings gets really bad, people even call them "sick buildings".

②The good news is that plants are like nature's super heroes. They have a magic power fighting against bad air. Plants breathe in carbon dioxide (CO₂) and breathe out oxygen (O₂) which we humans need to live. They can also add moisture (水分) to the air if it's too dry, making it more comfortable for us to breathe.

③  ▲  Scientists have discovered that plants have the ability to take in harmful chemicals, making the air around us safer to breathe. They set up a completely closed building called "bio-home" for experiments. Before they added plants, the air inside was full of chemicals and people found it hard to breathe. Then scientists added different kinds of plants in it. After a while, they used a special machine to test the air quality. The air got much cleaner and it became easier to breathe. People could go inside without feeling unwell. Scientists found out the building wasn't a "sick building" any more.

④So you see, plants are incredible! They are not only beautiful to look at, but they also provide us with food, help create materials and play an important role in our health. They make our indoor environments cleaner and healthier, making us feel better. Next time you see a plant, remember all the amazing things it can do for us!

Smartphones have become necessary tools in people's lives. We carry them everywhere, take them to bed and to the bathroom. And for many people, after waking up in the morning, what they see first is their smartphones. 

Most worries about phones usually lie in the danger which is caused by using them while driving, or the bad influence they bring to us, such as making us depend on them too much but hardly care about people around us. 

However, have you ever thought about your smartphone may be a factory full of microbes （细菌） and viruses（病毒）. A survey made in 2019 found that most people（57 percent） in the UK use their phones on the toilet. Another study found three in four Americans（74. 5 percent） use their phones on the toilet. We also eat while using our phones and usually put them down on all kinds of dirty surfaces. All of them can transfer microbes onto our phones. And some of the viruses, like the common cold virus, can live on the phone surfaces for almost a week. 

Researchers have shown that people touch their phone hundreds, if not thousands, of times a day. And although many of us often wash our hands after going to the bathroom, cooking, cleaning or gardening, it is almost impossible for us to consider washing our hands after touching our phones. 

As a result, it's not surprising that studies have found our mobile phones are dirtier than toilet seats. Maybe it's time. to think more about keeping mobile phones clean. 

When you do not use your arms or legs for some time, they will become weak. When you start using then again, they slowly become strong again. Everybody knows that. Yet many people do not seem to know that memory works in the same way.

When someone says that he has a good memory, he really means that he keeps his memory in practice by using it. When someone else says that his memory is poor, he really means that he does not give it enough chance to become strong.

If a friend says that his arms and legs are weak, we know that it is his own fault(过错).But if he tells us that he has a poor memory, many of us think that his parents are to blame(负有责任) and few of us know that it is just his own fault. Have you ever found that some people can't read or write but they usually have better memories? This is because they cannot read or write but they have to remember things. They cannot write them down in a small notebook. They have to remember days, names, songs and stories, so their memory is being exercised the whole time.

So if you want to have a good memory, learn from the people: practise remembering things as much as possible.

Do you like keeping pets? There are many kinds of pets for people to keep. If you keep dogs, or cats as yours pets, you must know how to look after 1 .

An adult dog need two meals a day. And it can 2 meat, fish, rice and so on. Dogs like bones,3 don't give them chicken bones. Remember 4 them much clean water. A dog should have 5 clean, dry place for sleeping. Washing it once a week is good 6 its health. If it is 7 ill, take it to see a vet (兽医). And walk your dog often if you have time. A healthy dog can make you happier.

Cats have two meals a day with some meat or 8 . They need to drink a little milk every day. Sometimes give them vegetables to eat. Don't forget that they need clean water to drink, too. Cats are usually 9 than dogs, and you don't need to walk them.

Take good care of your pets. They will be your good friends if you can spend time 10 with them. Maybe they can give you some help when you need them.
