A seventeen-year-old girl has caught many people's eyes these days. Her excellent performance at the 19th Asian Games 1 many people. Do you know who the girl is? She is the China's rising shooting star Huang Yuting.

Born in 2006, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, Huang Yuting began shooting in the summer of 2016 when the district's Youth Sports School rifle team 2 good players at her school. Lin Kehan, her coach, said, "We chose Huang Yuting because of her great stability. Besides, her 3 performance in the selection (选拔) test for team members made us amazed." Following her successful selection into the summer training camp, Huang Yuting showed her great 4 in shooting quickly.

Spending 3 years in the Huangyan Youth Sports School rifle team, she went into the Zhejiang Provincial Shooting Team in 2020. After training 5 , she became one of the best players in the women's 10m air rifle event. At 2022 ISSF World Championships, Huang won one silver medal (奖牌) and got a 6 to the 2024 Paris Olympics for the Chinese team. This year, she also won two golds in the women's 10m air rifle at the Asian Games.

I'm Lucy from London. But now I'm in Beijing with my parents. Both of them are doctors and they love their job. I am a student and I love my school, too. School is a good place for me. I can do many things there.

The world may be a big place but when it comes to teenagers' reading habits, the differences are quite small. 

Recently young people from Japan, Brazil, China and England were asked questions about what, why and how often they read. The study, done by London university, wanted to find out if there were any important differences in teenagers' reading habits. 

In the study, 200 teenagers from each of the four countries were asked to make a list of what they read in a week. They were asked to write down why they read on their lists. Finally the teenagers said how much time they spent reading in a week. 

Here is some of what was found out. On average（平均）teenagers read for 17.5 hours per week. Japanese teenagers read for 18.5 hours per week, a little more than that from China（18 hours）, Brazil（17 hours）and England（16.5 hours）. Teenagers mainly read for two different reasons: "for study" and "for fun". in each country, they spent 60% of their reading time "for study" and 40% "for fun". Reading "for study" took so much of teenagers' time as most of them are still at school. 

The study also found what teenagers read was almost the same. Course books were the only thing they read "for study", but when it came to reading "for fun", teenagers most often mentioned newspapers, cartoons, sports magazines and storybooks（for more information, see the picture）. 

When Luca was young, he heard about the Island of Inventions for the first time. The island interested 1 very much. Then he started to search for information about it. 

Luca read a lot of books and finally knew2 the Island of Inventions was. It was a secret place. To get there, one had to create some great inventions3 an invitation first.

 Dancing is popular all over the world. People dance in theaters, in parks or in their own living rooms. But Yang Liu, a girl in Guizhou, dances in an unusual place. Her stage is a single bamboo pole(竿子). 

 Yang is a performer of bamboo drifting(独竹漂 ). It is a traditional skill in the girl's hometown. In the past, the local people crossed the rivers by riding on a bamboo pole. Now, bamboo drifting has developed into a folk sport. 

 Yang started to learn bamboo drifting at the age of seven. The bamboo pole is very wet and it never stops moving. Yang fell into the water again and again. But the girl didn't want to give up. She always got back up on the pole and tried again. She practised hard every day for three years. Finally, she was able to keep her balance(平衡) on the pole. 

 But Yang didn't just stop there. She wanted to live out her dream of becoming a dancer on a bamboo pole. The girl practised many difficult movements on the pole. She failed endless times, but she never stopped trying. Her hard work finally paid off. Now 26, Yang has made a name for herself as a dancer on a bamboo pole. People can't believe their eyes whenever they watch her shows. Through Yang's dances, many people now know about bamboo drifting. They have found the beauty of this traditional skill.
