Music is an important part in our life. We may feel boring without music. Today when you go to stores, stations, restaurants and other places, do you notice music playing at any of these places? The answer must be “Yes”. And you might even hear music in an office or on a farm.

    I like many kinds of music. Classical music is great. Rock music is fast. Light music is relaxing. But I like folk music best. It sounds very beautiful. It can bring me into the dream land. It can make me relax and forget all the problems. It makes me learn better and helps me to be more active. It is true that I learn better when I am relaxed.

Music can also influence(影响) people's behavior(行为). Classical music makes people feel rich(富裕). When a restaurant plays classical music, people spend more money on food and drinks. When the restaurant plays modern music, people spend less money. Without music, people spend even less. Restaurants can make more money in this way.

My name is Cathy. I'm English, but I'm in Shandong with my family now. Look! This is a photo of my family. This is my father. He is a manager of a theatre. He likes running. My mother is a nurse. She likes listening to music. The boy is my brother Sam. His favorite sport is basketball. Who is the girl next to him? It's me. I like table tennis very much.

This winter holiday, my family and I went to Beijing for a trip. We went to many places of interest. My favourite one was Peking University. 

Peking University is one of the best universities in China. We walked into the school from the east gate. There are many traditional buildings in the university. The most famous is the Boya Pagoda (博雅塔) built in 1924, it is a great example of the traditional Chinese building style. 

We then walked to the Weiming Lake with a long history. The lake is another popular place in the university. The word "weiming" means"without being named" in Chinese. Many students like to walk around the lake. During the winter, the lake is frozen. Students can walk or skate on the lake. 

As we walked around the school, we saw some modern teaching buildings, classrooms, libraries and labs. There are also museums in the university. We really enjoyed the beautiful campus (校园) and the rich history of Peking University. 

I hope I will study in Peking University when I grow up.

①Zhang Guimei, a teacher in the mountainous area of Yunnan, set up a free high school for girls with support from the Communist Party of China(中国共产党) and local government. Around 2,000 girls from poor families who went to the school went on to study at various universities. In the past 10 years, the Party of China and government have worked hard to make sure all children can receive an education. One way to help fill the educational gap(差距) between urban and rural areas is the use of 5G and other new technologies. 

②Guizhou Normal University has worked with Huawei to set up a "5G+ rural education" laboratory and taught "5G+ rural education" courses online. English, music, art, science, biology, and other high-quality courses were provided to rural schools in the area through the platform(平台). A high school in Guizhou started the "5G rural education" project in October 2021. More lively and interesting courses can improve students' interest in learning and teaching quality.

③According to Yu Minhong, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会), in the future, a widely applied 5G network will reduce the cost of educational information in primary and secondary schools in rural and remote (偏远的) areas.

④Thanks to the effort from all sides, 5G technology does shorten the educational gap. With the development of technology, it's not a dream for students even in remote areas to receive high-quality education.
