Do you miss the great snacks you had when you were a kid? Do they help you remember your happy childhood?

I went to a summer camp with my classmates this summer holiday.

We started our1 on the first day of the summer holiday. Early in the morning, we2 at the school gate. After saying3 to our parents, we got on the bus. It4 us two hours to go to the place. Most of us were away on a trip from our5 for the first time, so we thought of the good days at home and started to miss them. 6 when the evening party began, we were happy again.

At the party, we7 our camp teacher, Mr Chen. He welcomed us and prepared（准备） a lot of8 food for us. How nice it is!

There were many interesting9 in the summer camp. The next day, we all went to the boating class. At first, my friend and I worked hard, but the10 didn't listen to us. Then the teacher taught us how to work together. After many tries(尝试）, we did much better.

The swimming classes were my favorite. It was great to11 in the cool water in hot summer. The swimming teacher was a12 man, and he often helped me when I had problems.

I also had13 classes. The teacher taught me to draw many pictures of the beautiful lake and hills. I had much fun.

I learned a lot of new things in the summer camp. I14 learned how to look after（照顾） myself. I had a great time there. I will never15 this trip.

After the summer camp, I started to like art classes at school. Now I love drawing pictures in my free time.

There are two mice, Bill and Paul. They are good friends. One mouse lives in the country, the other mouse lives in the city. On a sunny day they meet in the street. 

Paul: Hi, Bill! Have a look at my house in the country. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself. 

Bill: I'd love to. But I hear that the food is not delicious, and your house is small. Is that so?

Paul: No, that's not true. Come and see by yourself!

Then Bill goes to the countryside with Paul. 

Bill: Paul! Why do you live in a hole in the field*? You should come and live in the city. You will live in a nice house made of stones. You will have better food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city. 

Paul:Thanks! Maybe you are right. I'll visit your house one day. 

Several days later, Paul visits Bill's house in the city. The house is big and beautiful. They are sitting in the living room, having a big dinner comfortably. Suddenly, there is a great noise. 

Bill: Run! Run! The cat is coming!

Paul: Oh, no! Both the house and the food are nice, but I do not like living in the city. I love my hole in the field, for it is nicer to be poor but happy than to be rich but afraid. 

A Kind Grandmother

Mrs. Wallace had two grandchildren. They lived near her house. They visited her house every day after school.

She was very good at making things. One day she made some beautiful

dolls and gave them to her grandchildren to play with.

The grandchildren wanted some pet rabbits, and Mrs. Wallace said she

could make a hutch to keep them in. The children went to ask their parents.

"Can we please have some pet rabbits?" they asked.

"Where will you keep them?" their father asked. "You need a hutch for them."

"Grandma will make a hutch for them," the children said.

The father and mother talked about it. They told the children they could have two rabbits. But they must put them in the hutch.

Mrs. Wallace went to a shop and bought wood, paint and nails (钉子). She worked all daywhen the children were at school. After school they came to watch and help.

The next day Mrs. Wallace finished (完成) the hutch and painted it. Then she thought about how to get it to the children. It was too big to put into her car.

"I know," she thought. "I'll put it on the wheelbarrow(手推车) and wheel it there. It's not far."

On the way to the children's house, aman saw her and said. "That's very nice. Did you make it yourself?"

"Yes," she said happily." I made it for my grandchildren." "Really?" he said. "I thought it was for rabbits!

 In a middle school, two friends, Mia and Lucy, have always supported each other {#blank#}1{#/blank#}a year ago. They reminded one another to feel free {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(share) their ideas in class. At the{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(begin) of the year, Mia struggled with her math {#blank#}4{#/blank#} often felt awake at night, worrying about her grades. So Lucy came to lend her hands. They spent many evenings studying together, sharing notes, and discussing difficult questions. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Lucy's encouragement, Mia has gained confidence and improved her skills in math.

{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(recent), they both have faced challenges, like {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(ill) and stress from exams, but   they have learned to overcome these difficulties together. Because of their friendship, they believe that they {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to those people who are very lucky.

 Now, as the school year ends, Mia has {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(make) great progress in her studies. She has become a more confident student, and both friends are {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(excite) about their future together.
