Hello, I'm Jim. I'm a student in No. 2 Middle School. Today is Saturday. I can stay in bed late. Usually I get up at six on weekdays, but at eight on weekends. Then I take a shower, brush my teeth and wash my face. At half past eight, I have breakfast. I often eat bread and eggs and drink a glass of milk. They are healthy food. I don't like hamburgers or noodles.

Then, I go to the park and do sports. I play basketball with my brother. He can play it well. After that, I go back home with my brother, and we watch TV together. I have lunch with my brother in a dining hall at half past eleven, because my parents don't come back home from work on weekends. And then I do my homework on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Sometimes I go out with my brother. I like drawing pictures on Sunday afternoon in the open air with my brother. It's good to enjoy nature(自然).

On Sunday evening, I always take a walk after supper with my brother. That's very cool. I enjoy the beautiful night streets. Finally, I go to bed at around a quarter to ten.

I started learning English at the age of 22. It is kind of 1 to start studying a language. However, age is never a problem if you really want to 2 something.I was preparing myself to study engineering in the USA. To enter（进入）my dream university, I had to 3 a TOEFL score（托福分数）of 90 or higher. After careful thought, I signed up for（ 报名参加）a six-month program to study English.

It was 4 to get 90 in six months for someone who started learning English from the very beginning, but I decided to have a try. In order to join the 5 , I moved to a different city and rented（租用）a house with a friend. We were in the same program. We did not have any distractions（使人分心的事物）in 6 house, such as televisions, computers or smartphones.

We had classes every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 a lunch break only. After the classes were over, we had something for dinner and started 8 what we had learned and doing homework. We would study 9 we became sleepy, and usually we would finish it by midnight.My friend and I encouraged each other and we did our best. 10 , we both got perfect TOEFL scores and went to the USA at last.

On February 9th, 2013, Sarah Darling was walking along the street when she met a homeless man named Billy Ray Harris. She reached into her purse, emptied out all the coins she had and gave them to the homeless man. Neither of them realized that this small act would change their lives. 

Sarah didn't realize that she had given Billy not only all her change but also her diamond ring (钻戒) that she had put in her purse earlier until the following morning. She and her husband, Bill Krejci, rushed to see if they could find Billy. The homeless man was not only in the same place, he also immediately returned the ring. The grateful couple paid him back for his honesty by emptying out their pockets of all the money they had. 

Bill Krejci, a web designer, felt that he needed to do something more for this honest man. So on February 18th, he set up a special page to raise money for him. In just four days, Billy received over $85, 000 and there seems to be no end yet. 

That is not enough. Billy is living with a person who is generous (慷慨的) instead of living in the streets. And that's not all—thanks to the news report, he got together again with his older brother, Edwin Harris, who he had been unable to find for 27 years. 

All the good luck is just because Billy did the right thing—returning something that did not belong to him. 

Who is the greatest teacher in Chinese history? You may think of Confucius (孔子). September 28th was his birthday. Although he lived over 2,000 years ago, people today still remember and 1 him.

Confucius lived in the Kingdom of Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period. He had  a 2 childhood. His father died when he was only 3, so he had to work to help his mother, but young Confucius never 3 studying. He visited many famous teachers and learned music, history, poetry and sports.

He was talented and learned 4 , so he started the first public school in China when he was thirty. At that time only children from 5 families could go to school, but Confucius believed everyone could go to school 6 they wanted to learn. He had about 3,000 students in his lifetime.

Today, people still study Confucius' lessons. He told us that we all have something worthy to be learned." When I am with three people, one of them must be 7 than me in some areas. I choose their good qualities and follow them." He also taught us that8 is very important in study." All study but no thinking makes people puzzled(困惑的). All thinking but no study makes people lazy."

 There are twelve {#blank#}1{#/blank#}( month) in a year. My favorite month {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( be) October. First, October 1^st is National Day. It's an important festival in China. Everyone is happy on this festival. We have a seven- day holiday(假期). During the holiday, my parents often {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( take) me to see my grandparents in the countryside(乡村). Second, there are some interesting things {#blank#}4{#/blank#} October. On the 12^th, we have a soccer game. I don't love basketball{#blank#}5{#/blank#} it's difficult for me. But I love soccer. I like {#blank#}6{#/blank#}( play) soccer and watching soccer games on TV. On October 20^th, we have a book sale. I have three old {#blank#}7{#/blank#}( book) and I want to sell them there. Then we have {#blank#}8{#/blank#} art festival on October 29^th. We can draw many beautiful pictures.{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(I) birthday is also on this day. October is a really great month {#blank#}10{#/blank#} me!

The Monkey King is the main character from the Chinese story Journey to the West. He is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} wonderful that all the people love him. He is kind and he always helps weak people. The Monkey King has a magic stick. He uses it to fight bad people. He can make the stick big or small. He can sometimes make the stick so small {#blank#}2{#/blank#} he can put it in his ear.
