请阅读Amy在她的个人主页上写的一篇日志,根据所提供的信息,回答下列问题。

A few days ago, I was walking down the street when I met a group of students in uniforms. I was shocked to see that the girls' skirts were very short and they were wearing a lot of make-up. The boys looked very untidy. Their shirts were dirty and some of them even had their shirt fronts open. I noticed that some of the students had their ears and noses pierced, which should not be allowed at school.

And the other day, I was on the subway when I saw some boys wearing uniforms of the same local school. Instead of sitting quietly, these boys kept making noises and saying dirty words. All the other passengers were looking at them and wondering how it was possible for students like these boys. They were really showing a bad image (形象)of their school, which was shameful.

I am a mother of two teenagers of the same school. After seeing those boys and girls, I am worried if my children also behave like this. I don't know about it. Do students in this school know what is allowed when they are wearing the school uniforms? I think the school should be stricter with the students. And I think all the students should be taught how to be polite.

(1)、Why was the writer shocked at about thegirls' skirts?
(2)、Where did the writer see thebadly-behaved boys?
(3)、What bad image did these badly-behavedboys showed?
(4)、How many children did the writer have?
(5)、What does the writer think all thestudents should be taught?

Like many countries, Britain has serious environmental problems. In 1952, more than 4, 000 people died in London because of the smog(雾霾). The government made new laws to stop smog from coal(煤) fires and factories and things became better.

Today, London is much cleaner but there is a new problem:smog from cars. In December 1991, there was very little wind in London and pollution was much worse. As a result, about 160 people died from pollution in just four days.

Part of the problem is the new "out of town" shopping centers. In the past, people often walked to shops near their home or went by bus. Now, many people drive to the new shopping centers. As a result, the small shops have been closed and more people have to travel to do their shopping.

Many people think that Britain needs better and cheaper public transport(交通). Transport in Britain is very expensive. An early morning train trip from Glasgow to London(about 600km)can cost about 100 pounds, for example. A short 15-minute bus trip can cost over 100 pound.

Many people are trying to cut the use of cars in Britain. Some cities now have special bicycle paths and many people cycle to work. Some people also travel to work together in one car to make less the pollution and the cost.

Maybe you pride yourselves on only sleeping a few hours a night. However, are you feeling tired and sleepy throughout the day? Do you have a hard time keeping your eyes open as you study? Have you nodded off while driving? If you can answer "Yes" to any of these, it shows you could not have enough sleep.

It is suggested that most adults need seven to nine hours' sleep. As for teens, they need even more. If you aren't getting enough sleep, you should:

Avoid caffeine(咖啡因) You should avoid drinking caffeinated drinks such as coffee, tea and soda at least 10 hours before you go to bed.

Avoid eating big meals before sleeping Eating a big meal can make you feel sleepy, and it can make you feel uncomfortable and prevent you from sleeping well.

Build a healthy sleep environment With the light on, can you have a good sleep? Of course not, and you'd better keep your bedroom dark and cool.

Avoid using electronic devices before bed The light from electronic devices can keep you from falling asleep. Try reading or listening to quiet music instead.

Long time ago, there lived a king. He was irresponsible (不负责任的). He 1 cared about his country and people. All his people were unhappy about this.

One day, the king went hunting in the forest. After some time, he felt 2 . He came to a lake. When he drank water from the lake, he saw a swan (天鹅) 3 on a big stone nearby. "I want to catch the swan!" he thought.

As soon as he held up his bow (弓), the swan was gone. To his surprise, he heard a sweet voice, "You must come to the wonderland. "

The king said, "Please 4 me the way to the wonderland!" "Do good things for your people, and I will come and 5 you there, " the voice replied. With this in mind, the king dressed up and went out into the streets. He gave some 6 to a poor old man. After the old man accepted it happily, he began to chat with the king. When they talked about people's life in the country, the old man became 7 and said, "Do you know why I'm so poor? It's because of our king! He has done 8 for us. "

I was playing at the front gate, trying to decide whether to walk down the street to play with Jenny, when I saw a poor man coming up the road.

"Hello, little girl, " he said, "is your mama at home?"

I nodded and opened the gate to let him get in the yard. He looked like all the homeless men who came to my home before. His messy hair hung below a shapeless hat, and his old shirt and trousers had been rained on and slept in. He smelled bad.

He walked to the door. When my mother appeared, he asked, "Lady, could you spare something to eat?"

"I think so. Please sit on the step. "

Later, my mother came back and handed him a sandwich made from homemade bread and generous pieces of boiled meat. She also gave him a bottle of milk. "I thank you, lady, " he said.

I played at the gate, watching the man wolf down the sandwich and empty the cup. After finishing the food, he stood up and walked back through the gate. "" he told me on the way out.

Jenny had said all the homeless men told each other who would feed them. "They never come to my house!" she had said proudly and happily.

"So why does Mama feed the poor man?" I wondered. I walked inside. "Jenny's mama says those men are too lazy to work. Why do we feed them?"

My mother smiled. "Sweetheart, we don't know why these men don't work, " she said, "but they were babies once. And their mamas loved them, just like I love you. " She put her hands on my shoulders and drew me close to her.

"For me, I fed them for their mothers, because if you were ever hungry and had nothing to eat, I would want others' mothers to feed you. "

I seemed to find out the answer to my question and understand that
