I'm Mrs Green. This summer holiday, I went to London with my husband and our son Sam. We first spent four days visiting some famous places, such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. On the fifth day, I was a bit tired and just wanted to stay at the hotel. But Sam didn't want to. He would like to visit the HMS Belfast, a famous warship(战舰)that joined the Second World War(战争). It is on the River Thames as a museum for people to visit now. It is very famous and Sam read about it in a magazine. Well, boys always love these things, so I promised to go with him. 

We took the underground and it took us about twenty minutes to get to the River Thames from our hotel. After walking another ten minutes we finally saw the HMS Belfast. An adult ticket was £ 24. 5 and my husband bought two. Sam was only 13 years old, so his ticket was half price. The HMS Belfast was really large. Sam was interested in everything on it and took lots of photos. He said it was his favourite place on his trip to London. 

①For the past ten years，my dad and I have attended the same school—he as an administrator （行政人员） and I as a student. Our relationship，has been totally unpredictable. 

②When I was younger，all that my dad said was doctrine （信条） and I copied anything he did. We played games together（依靠） my dad taking me to school，running into him regularly during the day and riding home with him every afternoon. 

③However，as I grew older，we were not as close as we used to be. He wasn't cool any more. He wore his socks too high（尴尬）. 

④For example，in my seventh grade，my dad came to our New Year party. He dressed up as Donald Duck，singing silly songs. Just kill me!I wanted to run away. 

⑤Another thing was during my 10th﹣grade physics project. The task was to build a wood bridge with the best strength﹣to﹣weight ratio（比率）. All the students and physics teachers took part in it. So did my dad，the only administrator! Embarrassed，I ran away. However，later when I learned from my friends that my dad got the first prize and won everyone's admiration，he still influenced me. 

⑥I feel lucky to have such an unusual father. The relationship I have developed with my dad over the years has enabled me to look back and see how I've grown. 

A son takes his old father to a restaurant for dinner. They sit down and order a meal（点餐）. The man orders some rice and vegetables with chicken. His father likes jiaozi very much, so he orders some jiaozi for his father. His father is very old and he doesn't look healthy. Some food is on his T-shirt or pants（裤子）after eating. Some people in the restaurant don't look happy about him when they see him eating food. But the son doesn't care (关心) at all.

When the son gives the waiter money, the waiter says, "Oh, the dinner is free."

The son asks, "Why?"

A young man is next to the waiter and says, "Sir, I'm the boss (老板) of this restaurant. I think you're a great man. You love your father very much, right? I learn a lot from you." The son says, "Yes, you are right. But what do you learn from me?" The boss says, "A lesson (课) for every son and hope (希望) for every old father."

 My name is Gabby Talarico. I'm a student in an art school in Southern California. I have a lot of volunteering experiences. The {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(以下的) experience has been my favourite one.

 Last summer, I went to an art camp in the local community. There were many poor families which were  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(不能做某事) to afford to let their children learn singing, dancing and acting. However, the camp {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(提供) the children with a chance. It not only allowed them to learn about art, but also made them feel special.

 This camp changed my o{#blank#}4{#/blank#} about the world and taught me that helping others could make a difference. We had children who came from all backgrounds, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(包括) homeless children and children in single- parent families. Helping them made me happy and full of {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(能量).

 The children told me that they were very happy {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(设法做成) to take part in the camp dint that they learned a lot. Since then, I have truly believed that art is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(有用的) and important. It is like a gift to me and I have been really thankful to share that gift with the children.

This {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(整个的) experience has made me know how important it is to help others. I have also{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(意识到) that I have been lucky enough to experience everything in my life.

The Snowball Fight

 My mom always says, "Don't throw snowballs. You might hurt someone, or hurt yourself." She often tells me like this, but I like playing snow with my friends. So. I got1 .

"Oh Mom! You' re no fun! You 2 let me do interesting things." I said as I ran outsıđe, closing the door behind me.

I was playıng in the snow with my friends, just building a big  snow fort(雪堡). I was fccling bad about what I had said to my mom. I was sorry that I hurt3 feelings.

 Suddenly, a snowball hit me in the4 . It was not hardi but the whole back of my head was in snow.

I turned around and saw some kids in another snow fort. They had a big kid with them,5 they could throw really far. Just then,a big snowball hit my friend's jacket.

 And the fight was on. We all 6 our snowboarding goggles(防护镜), covered(覆盖) our faces with scarves, and we started throwing!

 Then they all came 7 lots of snow and ran into our fort The big kid caught me and playfully rubbed(涂, 抹) the snow on my face. We all 8 and felt excited!

 After a few minutes, they all started to walk away. I was curious, so I said to the new kid,"Hey, what's your name?"

"Huh?" the kid's voice was low and he pulled off his 9 . "Ali, you wouldn't want to know my name," she said. "I'm no fun."

 What a surprise! It was my10 ! Moms can be fun.
