As Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." For{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(多的) people, this is true. We{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(可能) have painted, written, or played an{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(乐器) as{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(孩子). However, as adults, it seems that{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(没有人) remembers his dreams of being a{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(电影) star or a musician. But is being creative really all that{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(重要的)?

The answer is yes, and it really {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(要紧). According to studies, {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(可能) being creative can help fight against negative emotions. It is a good {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(方法) to build problem-solving skills, and convey(表达) a {#blank#}11{#/blank#}(信息) of being confident. One study even found that creative people {#blank#}12{#/blank#}(活) longer because their brains are more active.

How can you become more creative? Try taking a child's way. Pull out a {#blank#}13{#/blank#}(笔记本) or a piece of paper and {#blank#}14{#/blank#}(仅仅) draw or paint, with no goal in {#blank#}15{#/blank#}(脑海). This gets all {#blank#}16{#/blank#}(种类) of connections in the brain working. Or you can get some exercise in the {#blank#}17{#/blank#}(早晨). A study discovered that a tired mind can be a more creative mind. So, hit the gym, go for a running {#blank#}18{#/blank#}(比赛) or climb a {#blank#}19{#/blank#}(山), and then sit down to try something new.

One of the{#blank#}20{#/blank#}(主要的) obstacles(障碍) to being creative is called "fear of failure." In other words, some people think they will{#blank#}21{#/blank#}(产生) a{#blank#}22{#/blank#}(数字) of{#blank#}23{#/blank#}(错误) when trying something new, so they just don't try. In fact, making mistakes is{#blank#}24{#/blank#}(没什么) serious. Don't be{#blank#}25{#/blank#}(紧张的). It is{#blank#}26{#/blank#}(必要的) to{#blank#}27{#/blank#}(学习) to change what "failure" means in your own mind. You might think failure is painting a picture that you see as ugly, but don't{#blank#}28{#/blank#}(丢失) your confidence. What if "failure" was actually not painting anything at all?

 阅读下列短文, 从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D) 中选出最佳选项。

According to a research more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food go to waste in Laura's country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply (供应). It is a sad fact especially when you consider how many families and homeless people are in hunger.

When Laura saw her school dining hall throw away food that was not eaten at all every day, she came up with an idea. She started a project to help her school dining hall to give away uneaten food to homeless shelters (庇护所) in her community. In the past three years, the same project has spread to other schools and some fast food restaurants throughout the city. The project is called Feed& find, and has already fed thousands of people in her city.

How does it work? Through an app, Feed& amp; Find matches local homeless shelters with school dining halls and restaurants that have uneaten food to provide. When dining halls or restaurants have uneaten food left, they can use the app to share the information about the food. A truck driver working for the project is then sent to pick it up and take it to a shelter.

Pretty cool, right? It's not surprising that people in other cities have got in touch with Laura hoping that she could have developed similar projects for their communities.

Some people, however, have concerns about the safety of the uneaten food. They think such food may not be clean enough. Still, this project is a clever way to help solve the problem of food waste and it helps those in need.
